Why Are So Many Women Converting To Islam ?
#11

Asalaamu alikum,

I think the reason we see more women convert than men is maybe for the fact that many of these women are married to Muslim born men, and then revert after having learned form her husband. Also for the reason that women by their nature are more inclined to think in the spiritual matters especially since they are the ones who most likely will be raising children. And if you can't tell from this thread, Christianity is certainly quite confusing, church hopping is not uncommon in both Catholics and Protestants, and many women search for the truth until they have found it. At least this is the trend I am noticing here in Wisconsin.

Quote:According to "The Almanac Book of Facts", the population increased 137% within the past decade, Christianity increased 46%, while Islam increased 235%.
In a recent poll in the (US), 100,000 people per year in America alone, are converting to Islam. For every 1 male convert to Islam, 4 females convert to Islam, Why?

It is Clear why Jews and Christians are converting.

However, the question still remains, why are more women converting than men to Islam? Perhaps they realize their Soul is worth the Factual Research.

1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original Sinners, (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}. The Koran Clarifies it was Adam Not Eve {Qur'an 7:19-25}

2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}. The Qur'an says both are an Equal Blessing { Qur'an 42:49}

3. The Bible Forbids Women from Speaking in church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}. The Qur'an says Women Can argue with the Prophet {58:1}

4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as an Adulteress, while men are not {Matthew 5:31-32}. The Qut'an does Not have Biblical double standards

{ Qur'an 30:21}

5. In The Bible, Widows and Sisters do Not Inherit Any Property or Wealth, Only men do{Numbers 27:1-11}The Koran Abolished this male greediness { Qur'an 4:22} and God Protects All.

6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives{I Kings 11:3} In The Qur'an, God limits the number to 4 only under certain situations (with the Wife's permission)and Prefers you Marry Only One Wife{ Qur'an 4:3} The Koran gives the Woman the Right to Choose who to Marry.

7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long

as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}

One must ask a simple question here, who is really punished, the man who raped the woman or the woman who was raped? According to the Jewish Bible, you have to spend the Rest of Your Life with the man who Raped You. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) says, as narrated by Aisha (as): "It is essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the marriage)". Would the Jews or Christian men reading this prefer the women they know to Be Jew, Christian or Muslim?

8. The Bible also asks Women to wear veils as in Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}, this lowers the chance of rape, (God Forbid), see statistic link below.

9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a 100 years ago in the (US), while the Quran (42:38) gave Women Voting rights almost 1,400 years ago.

10. Islam has unconfined Women and has given them the human right to reach for the sky. There have been Muslim Women Presidents through out the centuries,

but to this date, the oppressive mentality of the men in the Western USA has stopped any Women from becoming Presidents in predominately Christian countries, while the Muslim countries have voted for and elected female Presidents.

Salaam, Shalom, etc. [Image: blink.gif]

Wow some of these things are very disturbing and replulsive. I've actually read worse things than this elsewhere about "sexual relations" in the bible but i don't think it's necessary to bring them into this discussion, more for the fact they are disgusting. The fact that some Christians accept and read this but you don't Ronnie still doesnt make them wrong in their eyes, THEY WOULD NO DOUBT CONSIDER THEMSELVES STRONG CHRISTIANS/FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST/ GOD whatever. It's like the original questions i were asking you, who is following the correct path?

It's a shame the debate you've been having here hasn't lifted to more friendly discussion. I'm trying to stay out of it because i feel i was rude before as i apoligised to you for, but the time will surely come soon when you will embrace the CLEAR path. Why would you wish to associate yourself even near to anything like this? If God is who you seek, he is there waiting. And i'm sure you know it's not in corrupted books. I hope this discussion ends nicely however.

To ronniv93 - We replied to my topic of totally different subject:

“I have no clue what you're talking about. It's not making sense.

Are you SURE you studied Christianity??? “

Come on, Hollowell, self-denial ‘Iz no goodh’. We both know each other for the last four year from five different Muslim websites [Image: biggrin.gif]

Anyabwile – I agree with your views, but from the above statement you can figure out – What you guys have been facing – Some of Jewish Defence Leagues’s hackers clothed as ‘Christians’ and ‘Muslim/muslimah’. But don’t worry they will come out of their ‘Israeli closets’ – Once someone start criticizing Zionism or Israel [Image: blink.gif]

Really, Rehmat?? We know each other from five different Muslim web sites??? That's interesting! Which one's, I wonder? I don't think I'm active in FIVE DIFFERENT MUSLIM SITES, but hey.... some of these things are so easy to refute, I probably do it in my sleep. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Hey Anyabwile,

Hope you're doing well.

Quote:The fact that some Christians accept and read this but you don't Ronnie still doesnt make them wrong in their eyes,

The problem or question is not about whether I read anything or not; I just don't know what Rehmat is talking about. There were some particular points made that simply are not in the Bible that *I'VE* ever seen (i.e., the Bible calling King David a "pervert"). I asked the person who made this comment to show me where. Only then can I make a comment about it. It's the same with several other things they said: The claims were made but the verses/scriptures simply don't support the statements made.

Yes, I do have a problem with that.

Now, if they SHOWED me exactly where, then maybe I'd have to admit it.... explain it.... look into it, etc. But right now, the most I've seen are false statements and accusations. Wouldn't you be upset if someone came here saying, "The Quran says that women are evil" or "The Quran says men are better than women" and posting chapter and verse after it, yet you KNOW that's not what the text says or means? Would you not feel an obligation to correct what you thought/felt was incorrect?

That's all I'm doing.

Yes, I'm here asking questions about Islam, but if people are making false statements about the faith that I have right now, I feel obligated to say something.

Quote:It's like the original questions i were asking you, who is following the correct path?

Okay, well that's why I research, study and pray asking for guidance and direction. See, with the apocryphal documents that some people have quoted from, I KNOW why they were added by the Catholics. They thought it was considered inspired scripture by the Jews, but it wasn't. I know these things because I look for the answers.

Quote:It's a shame the debate you've been having here hasn't lifted to more friendly discussion.

Good point. Well, why don't we try to make this more friendly, shall we? [Image: smile.gif]

Quote:Why would you wish to associate yourself even near to anything like this?

It depends on what you're referring to.

Now, if I REALLY believed what the original poster said about the Bible, then yeah... that's a good question. I mean, who WOULD want to follow a faith like that. But I DON'T accept or believe what Rehmat has claimed about the Bible, so then, for me.... I don't see the problem.

Quote:If God is who you seek, he is there waiting. And i'm sure you know it's not in corrupted books.

Hmmm.... Well, I don't feel that I'm "seeking" God as if I've never known Him, talked to Him or had Him speak to me. I've experienced and continue to experience that close fellowhship with Him.

Now, I desire to know Him even more intimately, yes.

And I don't believe the Bible is corrupted so the second statement is not an issue for me. TRUST ME, I've heard all the claims and attacks on the Bible and I truly studied each one of them one-by-one. I've studied how the manuscripts were made, copied, transmitted, translated into other languages, what type of people were involved in the translations, how many manucripts exist, how they all agree, etc., etc., etc. After all of that, I actually trust what the Bible teaches more than before when I *hadn't* heard all the claims of corruption.

Quote:I hope this discussion ends nicely however.

As do I.

Self-denial 'Iz no goodh' R1111, or should I say 'Peaceful_Muslimah [Image: blink.gif]

I am doing very fine on those Muslim website, where you take-off your 'skull-cap' and adorn a Hijab. And I must admit you Jews have great 'gift of deception' - Because one the Moderator still believe you that you an American convert woman, with four PhDs and teaching in Qatar [Image: biggrin.gif]

But that's fine with me as long as you stay on the 'topic subject' - Which incidently, is WHY WOMEN ARE CONVERTING TO ISLAM. Can you let me if any 'decent woman' has converted to Judaism for the last 30 years [Image: mad.gif]

Shalom 'penguin'!

Uhhhh..... :S

Seriously, Rehmat, you must have me confused with someone else.

I do not go around masquerading myself as a Jew.

I am a Christian through and through.

Really?

Now, let me guess!

Do you know that European Jews destroyed 20 Christian villages between 1848-52?

Do you know that European Jews have killed more than 4,000 Arab Christian in Occupied Palestine (Israel) and Lebanon?

Do you know that Christians in Israel are not allowed to wear Cross around their neck in public, recite Bible in public, cannot ring church-bells, cannot put Christmas trees in front of their houses, cannot built new churches or as compensation for ove 23 churches destroyed by Jews, and are being spit in public for the last 56 years.

Now, knowing all this barbarism against your fellow Christians - Would you like to repeat after me:

"May God (Father) curse those ciminal Jews and destroy the fascist state of Israel."

BTW - And don't give the previous excuse - "I am an ignorant young girl and don't know much about such things" [Image: biggrin.gif]

That was the most hate-filled post I've yet to see around here. How awful!

I already told someone earlier that the best way to find an Israeli hacker is to 'criticize Israel or Zionism - And they will come jumping out of their ADL-bunkers.' It has always worked - Isn't it 'penguin'?

You are presumptuous, arrogant, rude, hate-filled and WRONG.

I am NOT whoever you think I am.

Just because I don't pray for God to curse Jews???

NO! The Bible tells me that I am to PRAY for the PEACE of JERUSALEM.

All the attacks you have made about what Jews supposedly have done to Christians I have heard and read the same things about how Muslims treat Christians. So, should I pray for God to curse the Muslims, too?

I don't pray for God to curse ANYONE!

That is God's business and I'm sorry that I can't "please" you by going around telling God who to pass judgment against. That's not my place.

You are a very rude person and if you keep calling me someone else, you are also a liar.
