According to "The Almanac Book of Facts", the population increased 137% within the past decade, Christianity increased 46%, while Islam increased 235%.
In a recent poll in the (US), 100,000 people per year in America alone, are converting to Islam. For every 1 male convert to Islam, 4 females convert to Islam, Why?
It is Clear why Jews and Christians are converting.
However, the question still remains, why are more women converting than men to Islam? Perhaps they realize their Soul is worth the Factual Research.
1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original Sinners, (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}. The Koran Clarifies it was Adam Not Eve {Qur'an 7:19-25}
2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}. The Qur'an says both are an Equal Blessing { Qur'an 42:49}
3. The Bible Forbids Women from Speaking in church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}. The Qur'an says Women Can argue with the Prophet {58:1}
4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as an Adulteress, while men are not {Matthew 5:31-32}. The Qut'an does Not have Biblical double standards
{ Qur'an 30:21}
5. In The Bible, Widows and Sisters do Not Inherit Any Property or Wealth, Only men do{Numbers 27:1-11}The Koran Abolished this male greediness { Qur'an 4:22} and God Protects All.
6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives{I Kings 11:3} In The Qur'an, God limits the number to 4 only under certain situations (with the Wife's permission)and Prefers you Marry Only One Wife{ Qur'an 4:3} The Koran gives the Woman the Right to Choose who to Marry.
7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long
as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}
One must ask a simple question here, who is really punished, the man who raped the woman or the woman who was raped? According to the Jewish Bible, you have to spend the Rest of Your Life with the man who Raped You. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) says, as narrated by Aisha (as): "It is essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the marriage)". Would the Jews or Christian men reading this prefer the women they know to Be Jew, Christian or Muslim?
8. The Bible also asks Women to wear veils as in Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}, this lowers the chance of rape, (God Forbid), see statistic link below.
9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a 100 years ago in the (US), while the Quran (42:38) gave Women Voting rights almost 1,400 years ago.
10. Islam has unconfined Women and has given them the human right to reach for the sky. There have been Muslim Women Presidents through out the centuries,
but to this date, the oppressive mentality of the men in the Western USA has stopped any Women from becoming Presidents in predominately Christian countries, while the Muslim countries have voted for and elected female Presidents.
Salaam, Shalom, etc.

Why are there SOOOO many misrepresentations of the Bible on this site?
WOOOW!
The very first statement about the Bible regarding the Adam and Eve is a lie. Does anyone actually read what they claim to quote?

Hi Ronniv93,
I am not so sure that there are so many misrepresentations on this site as you put it. These things can be read in the Bible.
You point at the first statement on this list and the answer to that can also be found in the same source.
"No wickedness comes anywhere near the wickedness of a woman.....SIN BEGAN WITH A WOMAN and thanks to her we all must die" (Ecclesiasticus 25:19,24).

I just joined the forum today. So, if you have any particular concern - This graduate of Catholic Mission Institute would be more than glad to help you out in removing any 'Biblical mis-interpretation'. However, here is something for you to 'chew on':
"Christ is 'Son of David....Matthew 1" - However, if you go further down the road, the smae Bible calls King David "a pervert!"
Can you figure out who may have inserted this 'divine message' into Bible - JSome Jew, of course, to insult Jesus, whom their Holy Talmud calls PANDORA

But the original poster didn't quote this book. She quoted from Genesis.
The one you quoted from is not a part of the canon that I accept and read. There are many reasons why books such as this one are not considered inspired Scripture and should not be. Just to name a few:
Quote:"The Jewish canon, or the Hebrew Bible, was universally received, while the Apocrypha added to the Greek version of the Septuagint were only in a general way accounted as books suitable for church reading, and thus as a middle class between canonical and strictly apocryphal (pseudonymous) writings. And justly; for those books, while they have great historical value, and fill the gap between the Old Testament and the New, <b>all originated after the cessation of prophecy, and they cannot therefore be regarded as inspired, nor are they ever cited by Christ or the apostles"</b> (Philip Schaff, History of the Christian Church, book 3, chapter 9)
21 reasons why the Apocrypha is not inspired:
1. Not one of them is in the Hebrew language, which was alone used by the inspired historians and poets of the Old Testament.
2. Not one of the writers lays any claim to inspiration.
3. These books were never acknowledged as sacred Scriptures by the Jewish Church, and therefore were never sanctioned by our Lord.
4. They were not allowed a place among the sacred books, during the first four centuries of the Christian Church.
5. They contain fabulous statements, and statements which contradict not only the canonical Scriptures, but themselves.
6. The Apocrypha inculcates doctrines at variance with the Bible, such as prayers for the dead and sinless perfection.
7. The apocrypha contains offensive materials unbecoming of God’s authorship.
Ecclesiasticus 25:19 Any iniquity is insignificant compared to a wife's iniquity.
Ecclesiasticus 25:24 From a woman sin had its beginning. Because of her we all die.
\
8. It teaches immoral practices, such as lying, suicide, assassination and magical incantation.
9. The apocryphal books themselves make reference to what we call the Silent 400 years, where there was no prophets of God to write inspired materials.
I don't feel the need to continue with the 11 other reasons why documents like this are not accepted by many people. I, myself do not agree with the doctrines/teachings of the Catholic church and this is one of the reasons why.
If you want to know what the canonical (not deutero-canonical) books teach... the one's that were INSPIRED about Adam and Eve, then simply read:
<b>Rom. 5:14</b>
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
<b>Rom. 5:19</b>
For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.
<b>1Co 15:22</b>
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

I'm sorry that you were raised Catholic.
I can certainly understand why you disagree with their teachings; so do I. That's why I'm not Catholic and never will be.
Is it another "Catholic-only-accepted" book that calls King David a "pervert", as you put it? I've not seen that word used in the Bible before, especially not related to David. Yes, he sinned with Bathsheba, but I must have missed the "pervert" part.

Hate to knock you from your 'high chair' - I was not raised as Catholic. I am a born Muslim - But in most of Muslim state, there are tens of thousands of Muslim parents who allow their children to learn Christianity in Mission school. Can you find a single Christian parents who would allow, willingly, to let his son or daughter study in a Islamic school? That's call 'Islamic tolerance', dear.
Your 'particular Bible' may have 'omitted' this Verse - But that's no surprise. According to Dr. Robert Funk, DDD, and his twenty-three Christian theologians - after six-year of research publish their findings in 1996 - Which read like this: "80% of the statements made in the NT are NOT divine; these were written by people of different times to serve their particular needs - A part of the other 20%; PROBABLY be divine.
Now, you should know, that both of us cannot beat a Christian scholar with '3D'.
Au revoir - That means 'Good-Bye' in Hebrew!

I'm not on any high chair, but I suppose I made an assumption - my mistake - when you made your grandiose statement about graduating from some Catholic Institute. But what you are telling me, then, is that you are no expert on the Bible, either in knowledge or experience with it. Okay, fine.

Uhhh... What would be the point of teaching your child something that you don't believe? And I'm sure that every night when they come home, the Muslim parents put down and bad-mouth the Bible much like what happens on this site and practically every Muslim web site I've ever been to.
Quote:Your 'particular Bible' may have 'omitted' this Verse
Funny. Listen, I was VERY clear on this issue. It's not about "ommitting a verse". It's about the Catholic church <b>ADDING</b> things that were never considered divinely inspired in the first place. I think I was very clear on that in my prior post.
Quote:According to Dr. Robert Funk, DDD, and his twenty-three Christian theologians
Sorry, I don't accept the teachings of Mr. "Funk-y". No one can came to be Christian yet say the majority of the Bible is not divinely inspired.
What would you think if I came to you and quoted a so-called Muslim who didn't believe the Quran was the word of Allah? Wouldn't that be stupid???
Same concept applies here.
I've already dealt with Mr. FUNK on another thread so I won't repeat it here. You can believe him if you like; not my problem.
I'm just saying, be careful what you claim and post about the Bible, because any falsities in your statements could 1) lead other people to repeat the falsehoods and 2) be easily exposed.

Yes dear, I studied Christianity for four full years. I did not go for the highest theological degree, DDD, that's why I don't consider myself as competent as Dr. Robert Funk - or you?
I am sure you can present a few Jews with Muslim IDs, or a non-practicing Muslim like Salman Rushde, or latest Jewish 'Muslimah discovery' - The Canadian 'Muslim Lesbian', Irshad Manji - But no Christians or Jews have proved so far that Holy Qur'an is not 'divine' - Oh, I forgot, though, Jews do think that it was written by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who was assisted by 10 Rabbis - but no priest.
As far changes are concerned - God would have put all that 'pornography' in His 'divine message' - or why the Protestant deleted the mention of "Virgin Mary" from their Bible RV? And why the first 'five books' of OT are part of NT - When Jewish Talmud doesn't accepts either of those book written by Moses (as)?
Shalom
