HAAHAHA, don't hide under the table, and thank you for sharing that with us. Music is so hard to give up but the music in Allahs words is the sweetest of all music. Muslimah, pop back up now...play us a tune [Image: rolleyes.gif]

U know what Anya Sobhan Allah, Allah really taught me the temptation of both items intrustment performance and athletic triumph. O I was also a national champion of a sport that I will not reveal. But it involved receiving gold and all that. Which I have about 2 medals and a cup. Sobhan Allah, that is why I said if u dont submit to Allah u submit to yourself and personal inclination. U d always seek the hand claping and the praise. La hawla wala qowata ila billah, u d feel different. But now it is enough for me to try and feel special only to Allah and in the eyes of Allah.

Play a tune Idont think I can even move the piano. No I think I would but Alhamdulelah I dont.

about Sami I read on Amr Khaled site, that he was from an athribijan origin and not turkish as I mentioned before, now I remember, which means he is born muslim, he had a special page for him but now it seems he removed it and added more singers and more nasheeds. Well here I found a beauty Muslimah [Image: smile.gif]

BTW Anya i remember on another thread u saying being hungry and preparing for Ramdan

I actually singed out and came back on again to tell u this

U know what Anya our beloved Messenger salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam used to spend a whole month without fire being lit in his house meaning no cooking. So where are we from him. Plus Allah Say in Quran:

"And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." (Quran 2:155)

Ok just wanted to make this reminder and I am off to sleep now it is almost 1.00 am Cairo local time. [Image: smile.gif]

Oh Muslimah, your words are so true, that's how i feel. That's why i've decided to leave my music. When you find Islam it's puts everything second. I was reading an article regarding wordly pleasures and aspirations. Here it is...

<i>"Think of a boy, for instance, who recently entered high school. Typically, he cannot wait for the day on which he will graduate. He looks forward to it with unrestrained eagerness. Yet soon he finds himself enrolling in college. At this stage of his life, he does not even recall the long years of high school. He already has other things on his mind; he wants to take advantage of these precious years to ease his fears for the future. Hence, he makes numerous plans. Before long, he becomes busy arranging his forthcoming wedding, a very special occasion that he eagerly awaits. Yet time passes faster than he expected and he leaves many years behind him and finds himself a man supporting a family. By the time he becomes a grandfather, an old man now in declining health, he faintly recalls the events from which he derived pleasure as a young man. Grim memories do fade. The troubles that obsessed him as a young man interest him no more. Only a few images of his life unfurl before his eyes. The appointed time approaches. The time left is very limited; a few years, months or possibly even just days. The classic story of man, without exception, ends here with a funeral service, immediate family members, close friends and relatives attending. The reality is that no man is immune to this end."</i>

So true don't you think? Life flies by, that's why those who live for Allah get the greatest gift of all, Eternal paradise something that will last forever as opposed to the short blip that is our lives. That's why i am so grateful to Allah for showing me the right way. Money and people clapping is all nice, until you remember it's all Allah, the people the money the clapping the fame, it's all Allah, all a test before us, that's what i never realised before but now i know.

Thanks for the above it's inspiring, i used to think ramadan was no food only, not water as well. I hope i don't faint! No of course the task will be handled, people are starving daily, i thank Allah and his word for reminding us to consider those without food.

We have one thing in common Sister, to say the least . [Image: ph34r.gif]

InshaAllah you'll inspire many people to sacrifice the things that a muslim should refrain from.

as salam alykom Anya and Nasrah

Sobhan Allah, u know what, Alhamdulelah I think Allah Willed to teach me what is fake happiness is in order to be very grateful for the real one. So actually by nature I am a very shy person, may be u can realize this from my posts, if u notice it is first time I reveal something personal in public. I dont unless for a necessity, also I prefer not to be in center of the light which of course cotradicted both activities. U ought to be in the center of attraction receiving praise and admiration. People looking at u for doing things they can not do, specially with sport as well. It was easy to stop sport at the age of 16 (on the professional level I mean going into competition and regualar exercise). But loving both activities, I continued doing them to myself, till Alhamdulelah I felt needless for them.

True we are sooooo grateful to Allah for this development may Allah Maintain it.

Anya u r not going to faint in Ramdan brother never, when I first decided to abide by the Islamic dress code, I started on 29th of May 1984 which is very hot in Egypt. I am one who can not afford heat due to many reasons. Yet Sobhan Allah, can not tell u how easy Allah Made it and Is Making it for me. Believe me. U think u will be coming close to Him and He will not Extend all necessary support. [Image: smile.gif][Image: biggrin.gif]
