Thank you for the welcome. I've been trying to talk with Catholics trying to get them to look at Islam differently. It's not sucessful right now, unfortunately. I think we need to find a way to respect one another, and one another's religion. Well, at least I'm giving it a try.

Take care and God Bless! Lots of love to you all!!!

Peace......

What makes it so difficult is that I'm a Catholic trying to talk to my own..... and not a Muslim... so they are kind of looking at me like I'm some sort of trator or something. I don't understand how it could be this way, though. Islam teaches that Jews and Christians are the people of the Book..... and to a certain extent should be respected.... but only if they sincerley and strictly follow their laws as believers. Of course, I'm sure Mohammad would want them to be Muslims.... but still in all..... there is that RESPECT there you know? We don't have that respect for people outside of our religion that lead a holy life. At least not in my diocese or parish.

Hopefully this could change one day! Please pray for me!

Peace and God Bless. [Image: wub.gif]

Shaunee, let me see if I am missing something here.

U a catholic who wants to give to her fellow catholics dawa about Islam. Or u were a Catholic and wanting to give them dawa about Islam? Can pls calrify

If u take my opinion, personally I see that Muslims need dawa, while we mostly focus on non Muslims, we need to improve and assume our role, others will automatically follow Insh a Allah

LOL, Yes, I am currently a Catholic, and I try to explain to my fellow Catholics that Muslims are not the blood thirsty savages that Fox News tries to portray them as. I read the Quran, I study the Hadith, and I am currently learning how to do the prayers.

I'm a very hands on person when it comes to learning..... and when I choose to learn about something.... I like to do it thoroughly. That's why I wanted to learn the prayers too. I think Islam is a very nice religion... so is Judaism.... and there are many nice Protestants, Coptics and Sufi's that I've met too.

I focus only on the Abrahamic faiths, though. I think we should all be one huge family.... we need to come together and stop fighting each other.... everyone needs to understand one another more. I think Islam is just as peaceful as Buddhism, the key is to practice Islam correctly, you know? Not all Muslims do that.

One Muslim told me.... "Islam is perfect, but the Muslims aren't". LOL

God sent us down our prophets and scriptures...... what he wants us to do is a perfect plan.... but we are not perfect...... so that's why I feel we have so many different religions. Our pride got in the way. All of us..... Jews Muslims Christians....

Other Christians don't particulary care for me or my ideas... they prefer to just stay in the New Testament and waite for the new Israel and Jesus second coming. I try to go deeper than that.

This all might sound a bit confusing, but hey, that's me. LOL.

Peace.

Take that step and embrace Islam fully, you know you want to, life switches on and starts once your a Muslim. It's a very free feeling still brand new to me but there's nothing else. Life has started and i feel i'm at the highest level a human can get and i thank Allah everyday for showing me and having patience with me. Insh a Allah it wont be long for you, i can sense it.
