I would imagine also that black magic is forbidden. But I've heard of Obeah (which is used in Jamaica) being used in African rituals utilising the Quran. But I never been there so I don't know. I'm in the dark on this but would naturally expect it to be something half the people frown on/half approve

May be we can explain actually what magic is whether black or not.

It is seeking devils help to fulfills one's needs. In order for the sorcier to attain this, he/she must indulge in Shirk and kuftr (paganism) practices for devils to be satisfied with him/her and help. Part of the rituals in some cases is to misuse the Quran like recite it backward, or take the book itself into the toiltte area or astghfer Allah even step on it.

So in some cases those who practice witchcraft recite Ayahs of Quran in front of the victim to convince him/her that they are not doing anything haram, while they say to themselves the magic spells seeking devils help.

The conclusion is no magic is allowed in Islam. All forms of magic is totally haram haram haram. Only Quran and supplications given to us by the Messenger salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam is to be used for such cases.

wallah u a`alam

[Image: wink.gif] I must say since visiting the above links in particular one where you are told how to protect your self against Magic / black magic / witch craft, it really works

I have never felt better in life than this its true the quran is a book of powerful knowledge that even we can't compromise. I tritely did not believe in any magic but now I have doubts, as I was a victim of one.

Sometimes I wish this planet was over i.e. I wish for the day of judgement to come because I am sick of all the evil around us I for once feel that I have fail this test and lets just go to the big court and get it over and done with. Look around us Muslim are killing each other the non-Muslim are killing Muslim like blood bath (for those of you who want to see the Iraq report go to www.cia.gov)

We are even doing black magic on each other, uncle does it on his nephew, and nephew kills uncle and so forth

Thanks brothers for showing me how to protect against black magic.

Alhamdulelah that we heard from u, and that u r feeling better. No one can deny magice since it is in Quran. The Messenger Himself was once a victim of one that is why Allah revealed Suratu Falaq and Nas.

We can not wish for the Day of Judgment to come since we are not ready. We can only wish that Allah mitigates our suffering, treat us thru His Pardon and not thru our sins. In other words lift the test. We can look at such trials as an investment we invest being under a test. When u r under one u take the status being compelled and Allah Promised to meet the need of the compelled as in Quran saying:

"Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations. Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Little is that you remember!

" (Quran 27:62)

Just look at how Allah changed your status in no time. Just keep in mind those who do evil on u are working with Shaytans while u r in the company of Allah. Isnt this enough of a consolation brother. [Image: smile.gif] Alhamdulelah
