God Has Called Me...
#31

as salam alykom brother

ok I take it that u already did pronounce your shahada

which is here:

ash-hadu an laa ilaahah illallaah (I bear witness and attest that there is no god worthy of worship but the One God Allaah)

ash-hadu anna muhammad-ar-rasool ullaah (I bear witness and attest that Muhammad is the messenger of Allaah

last night Alhamdulelah, Insh a Allah I will still look for an audio one, till then Allah Shall accept the way u pronounce for being a non Arabic speaker. He Understands dont worry [Image: smile.gif]

Allah u Akbar

let me talk to u from heart to heart.

1. After taking Shahada u must take a full shower in an indication of purifying yourself from being a non believer.

http://www.islamiska.org/e/a12.htm

This link is how to perform ghusl (full shower) step by step.

2. As a male, u must be circumcised. This u may refer to Dan to see how he handled it. I understand that any hospital in the UK can perform it, specially if u seek a Muslim doctor. They know what to do Insh aAllah. U may even want to discuss it with him and other brothers in Sakifah I will give u access it is a brother only room [Image: smile.gif]

3. Focus on learning how to make ablution and pray. As soon as u pronounce shadah u will be fully resonsible with it. Another improtant point is what to do after using the toillet. I m not sure if u r aware of this smearing issue. When u use the toillet (for either issues) u must clean yourself with water using the left hand as the right hand we use for eating food. I think also brothers can help on that more. I am trying to identify the important points at the beginning which are a change to u.

At the beginning u will need to print out the prayer steps including readings like Fatiha and other supplications made during each movemnet in your hand and read from them. I ve seen new Muslims do this, and it works Mash a Allah. By time u will learn it by heart. Just give yourself time. Insh a Allah

This is for ablution:

http://www.qss.org/articles/wudoo/wudoo_ToC.html

This is how to pray:

http://www.islamway.com/english/images/p...ntents.htm

U may print this and hold it in your hand while praying. I think I have a file on that with full texts, Insh a Allah I will look for it.

4. As an advise, focus on the above mentioned first. Hold on on reading more articles. Focus on prayer, prayer, prayer. Learn it and Insh a Allah perform it. Be at ease with and insert it into your schedule.

5. Ramadan is also coming soon (only one month to go) so it will be a good chance to prepare for fasting to.

6. As for now u really need to slow down and focus on those points.

7. Insh a Allah by time other things will come along.

8. Of course u will need to refrain from eating pork, drinking alchol, I am not where exactly in England u r but as far as I know many shops sell Halal food (Islamic legitimate meat and chicken) u will need to identify them and start using them.

I think that is all I can think of now, Insh a Allah I might come back again for more

I found this hadeeth

Sahl ibn Sa`d reported that Allah's Messenger, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, said, what means: "At the end of the world, the earth will settle, there will be false accusations of unchastity, slander and transformation of people into monkey and pigs." It was asked, "When, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "When the musical entertainment and signers appear."

Alhamdulillah....

Welcome aboard brother.....

although i'm born Muslim, i know how you feel since i was only a Muslim by name for 20 years of my life..... only few months ago that i came back to where my root is. i was a lost kid during my teenage years, knowing Islam only a little. although my father did taught me much about Islam when i was still a little child, after i was enrolled in a boarding school at 12 yrs old, i was drifted further from Allah.....after school it was pre-universiry, then now i'm in a university... so i didn't get much chance to learn from my father about Islam, since he knows and understand Islam the way it should be....

i know how it feels to leave something you love behind, like your music etc. it was hard, but Insha Allah... it can be done....

few months ago, when i was first realized that i was completely in the wrong way, i made a drastic move... i throw out all my black metal cassetes and cds, pornographis stuffes, poker cards etc...and a lot of other things....

i felt really hard at that time, especially about the cds and cassetes ( i don't really care about prono things anyway, but i really love music..)....

i went on a whole night on a sajadah, praying to Allah to help me through everything...i prayed to Him to show me the way... i started to pray again, plus qada' all my missed prayers for several years (till now i haven't finished doing the qada' yet, i hope i will finish before i die)....

Alhamdulillah...now i feel great. i know my parents would be happy to know that i'm a better person...Insha Allah... now i'm really looking forward into holiday breaks so that i can go back home and learn about Islam from my father, since i always admire his way of answering my every question...may Allah bless them both with His Love.....

brother anyabwile, it won't be easy, but it worth it... trust me...

i'll be praying for you brother, in my every prayer,Insha Allah.....

So much to remember, i have pronounced Shahada, i found an audio and pronounced it as best i could. I will take your advice and take things step by step, there's so much for me to remember above. And my printer is busted, do i have to pray immediately after Shahada. I pronounced it without preparing myself for what to do afterwards. I never imagined there would be so much to praying, i hope i will be forgiven for the time it's going to take for me to learn how to pray after i've pronounced Shahada.

I wish i had someone here with me to help me, i appreciate your help Muslimah, i am totally alone on this. By the time you read this, the stage i will be at is having performed ghusl. But yes i will slow down on the articles, there's just so much to learn and it never stops coming. I've got an insatiable appetite when it comes to learning all of this. But yes i have to start somewhere.

And i live in Luton, a large Muslim population in Bury Park, so Halal meat won't be a problem. I really do need a working printer for all of this. May Allah help me. And thank you again Mulsimah i really appreciate this. I will get back to you later, thank you!

Allah u Akbar

ok since u r done, Insh a Allah Allah Shall help with the other stuff.

O u need to learn parying......ammm

no printer what to do now......? even if i send the file?

Ok at least now learn the movements ok, and just the supplication during the movement, u need to be comfortable with it....the supplication is very brief. O remember u r not alone Allah is there for u. u think He took u out of darkness to leave u alone??? no way. u r not alone brother....

So if u can just learn the movements, the breif supplication, and try to learn fatiha through a Quran audio, Insh a Allah u will be fine. and Yes Allah Shall accept. U r a baby now. He will accept.

so u have an idea about pillars of Islam

1 Shahada

2. Prayer (salat)>

3. Fasting Ramadan.

4. Zakat.

5. Haj to Kaba for one who is capable.

See u need to focus on those pillars first and take things slowly. Easy brother.

We were all beginners one day.

Insh a Allah I will keep with all my brothers and sisters trying to attend to this thread till you r safe Insh aAllah.

Another suggestion, there must be a Masjed near u where u can learn Salat (prayer) Yay my mind is working not often [Image: smile.gif]

Yes i am aware of the five pillars, although i don't have them to memory, but i am aware of them. I just need help with the prayer. Could you direct me to a link for the movements i can do, and what is acceptable to say until i have remembered the entire prayer fully. I also know it's five time a day.i have found this link...

http://islam.about.com/od/prayer/

is this any good for me to follow? I just need to know if there's a link to a basic or first time prayer i can do until i know it off by heart, as i have no printer. If not i will write it down..and when do i perform my first prayer, in the morning or now?

ok I checked your link it is good brother, but the one I gave u include illustration as I said so would be easier Insh a Allah

Also note that when u want to start praying, u need to face Qibla direction which is Kaba. How to identify this? it is north east. so from whereever the sun rises, just take aside to your right hand and this is how u must face...

Then u start according to the steps by taking the inention deep in your heart of what u want to pray.

Fajr: 2 raka`a (raka is a unit of which prayer consists)

Zohr: 4 raka

Asr: 4 raka

Maghreb: 3 Raka

Esha: 4 Raka

Ok I m not sure if u aware now u can not be involved with a woman, I am sure u know that unless u r married.

I am still here Insh a Allah

ok will see I think u can pray asr let me check brother hold on [Image: smile.gif]
