Islam

OK now we can get down to brass tacks. Islam is NOT one religion. There are sects within Islam just like there are within the Christian religion. Shiites, Sunni’s and even Wahhabis are at odds with each other.

Islam does not speak with one voice. That is a fact. So please tell me how Islam is going to unite us all. Tell me how Islam is peaceful. Tell me how Islam is not political in nature.

Please go ahead, I am listening.

Quote:Islam is submission to Allah.......

Or is it really submission to the local Imam or Mullah? After all Islam preaches politics from the pulpit. I didn't realize Allah was a political figure. Is he a democrat, a republican. a socialist. a communist or a religious tyrant?

Is Allah just the God of Muslims?

sects in Islam? okay, let me put it this way, no matter in which sects a muslim is, as long as he confessed that "there is no God but Allah and Muhammad (pbuh) is His messenger" than that muslim is a brother to another muslim, disregarding the sects. That's what the ukhuwwah Islamiyyah/Islamic brotherhood is all about. the difference between shi'ites and sunnis is that the shi'ites love Sayyidina Ali r.a. more than other companions, while the sunnis love them equally. and there's nothing wrong with that.

if that person resist on the "there is no God but Allah and Muhammad (pbuh) is His mesenger" than that person is not a Muslims. it is so simple. i don't think you can compare the sects in Islam with the sects in Christians.

i give you three major differences:

1) Muslims follow ONE Qur'an, Christians follow LOTS of Bibles...

2) All sects in Islam says Allah is The One and Only God, Christians' explanation of trinity differs from one sects to another.

3) In Islam, shi'ites address sunnis as true muslims and sunnis address shi'ites as true muslims and the same goes to every sects that says "there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His mesenger". In Christians, each sects accused the others as non comitted Christians.

Islam is not political in nature? there is politic in Islam. there's everything in Islam including economics, sciences, socials etc.

Islam is a submission to Allah. we follow the Imams and ulama'/scholars because they know better than us. they mastered fiqh/jurisprudence so they make the best decision. the word "submission" is not a word to describe the way Islam treat imams and ulama'. our submission is only to Allah, not the imams, not the leaders and not even to Muhammad (pbuh).

and Allah is not a democrat, nor a republican, nor a socialist, not a communist and of course not a religious tyrant. those political system are created by man and Allah is the God that created man. how funny if you think that the creator of man would be in a man made system... irony...

Allah is the God, not a political figure.

Is Allah just the God of Muslims? no. He is the God of every creation, living and non-living, including YOU. Allah does not belong to muslims but muslims are the peoples to give submissions to Allah, believe in Allah and obey Allah's command.

Muhammed being his messenger? Why do you not say ‘Jesus Christ’ (pbuh)? Or Moses (pbuh)?

[Image: biggrin.gif] calm down.........

as u know Moses, Abrahim & Jesus was Allah's Propet's .......but the last one was Muhammed (pbuh) and he was dear to Allah more than the other prophets........why? because counting in him Allah revealed his Last book i.e. "The Quran" and it was Prophet Muhammed's (pbuh) time that Islam spread the 'most'. Of course other prophets are also very dear to Allah [Image: cool.gif]

Mash aAllah lifutushi and shereen are doing an excellent job here I just felt I want to be involved.

Local regarding the sects in Islam just as lifutushi explained but there is more to it.

If this didnt happen, then our Messenger (PAPBUH) wouldnt have been one. In a hadeeth (his sayings) he said what means (I am not sure about the figures), jews shall be divided into 76 sects, Christians into 75 and my Ummah into 73 only one shall be rescued from hell fire the one that follows Quran and Sunnah.

About the Messengers and Prophets, as shereen told u, one of the branches of faith is to believe in all Prophets and Messengers, we must believe in them or else we are not Muslims. Simply because all of them were Muslims, none of them called for any other religion. I advice u to visit this thread:

http://www.islamsms.com/bb/index.php?showtopic=1559

Insh aAllah u will find explanations on many points specially regarding why Mohamed (PAPBUH) is respected and why he is included in shahada.

Again welcome to the boards local hope u benefit of your stay Insh aAllah

Here we go, another scholar of Islam who knows more about Islam than the muslims themselves!

What shall we call you? The Local Imam/Sheikh?!

Jazaakallah Kheyr bro/sis

Why shall the muslims have a system which has been rejected by its founding fathers (Greeks) who said it can never work.

Muslims have a system, a system given to us by the creator of all the heavens and the earths and what is in between them, Allah (SWT). This system is called Islam.

The reason why muslims reject democracy is that the source of legislation is man. In Islam, the source of legislation is Allah (the creator) who knows the nature of man better than man knows himself.

"..Verily the 'Hukm'(command, Judgment) is for none but Allah.." [TMQ 12:40]

Allah has made the mind the source of liability, not the source of legislation...think about it!
