The Sayings of Rasoolallah (Sallallahu Alaihee Wassalam)

As-salaamu`alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Perhaps a thread dedicated to the Sayings of Rasoolallah (Sallallahu Alaihee Wassalam) - The Messenger of Allah Subhaanahu wa Taalaa

[b:6c52326747]Our Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihee Wassalam) said "All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed Your message to Your people."[/b:6c52326747]

[b:6c52326747]Narrated Abdullah ibn AbuAwfa - Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "If anyone wants something from Allah, or from a human being, he should perform ablution and do it well, then pray two rak'ahs, then extol Allah Most High and invoke blessing on the Prophet, then say: `There is no god but Allah, the Clement and Generous. Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the mighty throne. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe. I ask Thee for words which will guarantee Thy mercy, actions which will make certain Thy forgiveness, a supply of every virtue, and freedom from every offence. Do not leave me a sin which Thou dost not pardon, a care which Thou dost not remove, or a want that meets with Thy pleasure which Thou dost not supply, O Most Merciful of the merciful ones.'"[/b:6c52326747][/color:6c52326747] - Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a gharib tradition. 401

[b:84fc21f531]Narrated AbuTha'labah - AbuTha'labah swore by Allah that he had asked Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihee Wassalam) about the words of Allah Most High, "Care for yourselves; he who goes astray cannot harm you when you are rightly guided."

He had replied, "No, enjoin one another to do what is reputable and forbid one another to do what is disreputable. But when you see niggardliness being obeyed, passion being followed, worldly interests being preferred, everyone being charmed with his own opinion, and you see something you are inclined to do, care for yourself and leave alone what people in general are doing; for ahead of you are days which will require endurance, in which he who shows endurance will be like him who grasps live coals. The one who acts rightly during that period will have the reward of fifty men who act as he does." The hearers said, "The reward of fifty of them, Messenger of Allah! (Sallallahu Alaihee Wassalam)." He (Sallallahu Alaihee Wassalam) replied, "The reward of fifty of you." - Transmitted by Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah. 1300[/color:84fc21f531][/b:84fc21f531]

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: "I have left you upon a clear way, its night is like its day, no one flees from it after me except that he is destroyed." Related by Ahmad (4/126) and Ibn Maajah (no. 43).[/color:e4733a2f7c]

[b:e4733a2f7c]Allah has revealed the most beautiful message, a Book consistent in its verses yet repeating its teachings in different ways. Those who fear their Rabb are filled with awe when they hear it, their skins and their hearts become pliant to the remembrance of Allah. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides with it whom He pleases. But he to whom He confounds shall have none to guide him. 39.23[/b:e4733a2f7c]

[b:a8255f8c43]Umar ibn al-Khattab brought to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) a copy of the Torah and said: Allah's Messenger, this is a copy of the Torah. He (Allah's Messenger) kept quiet and he (Umar) began to read it. The (colour) of the face of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) underwent a change, whereupon AbuBakr said: Would that your mother mourn you, don't you see the face of Allah's Messenger? Umar saw the face of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and said: I seek refuge with Allah from the wrath of Allah and the wrath of His Messenger. We are well pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad as Prophet. Whereupon Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, even if Moses were to appear before you and you were to follow him, leaving me aside, you would certainly stray into error; for if (Moses) were alive (now), and he found my prophetical ministry, he would have definitely followed me. - Transmitted by Darimi.
