Insha Allah we start our friendship with this Hadith.


Prophet Muhammad(sal) said: "There is certainly a heart for everything and the heart of the Qur'an is Ya Sin. Whoso reads Ya Sin, Allah writes for him in exchange of its reading the rewards of the reading of the whole Qur'an ten times"

Surtah Yas'een is my favorite Surah,


The following are Attributes of Surah Yas'een



<b>Prophet Mohamed ~alaihi-salatu~wasalam thus spoke attributes & Virtues of surah Yas'een</b>


Surah Yas'een is aptly known as the soul of the holy Quraan. A person reciting surah Yas'een will be rewarded with the benefit of reading the Quraan Karim Ten Times

Recite Surah Ya'seen regurlary in the morning and your daily needs will be fulfilled



(Darmi Tarbani)


Drink water mixed with the word Yas'een written 5 times as it will sharpen your memory



If you listen to the recitation of Surah Yas'een with concentration, You will be rewarded with Zakat of 100 Gold coins



If someone has recited Surah Yas'een and he/she dies thereafter, 30,000 angels will attend last rites of the dead they will accompany his/her Janaza to Kabristan, and attend his/her burial, also pray to Allah SWT For his deliverance and will plead on his behalf. His Kabr will be made spacious and comfortable and the ~Noor~ will rise from his Kabr to the heavens. When he crosses "pull Sara't" he will easily pass and the balance sheet of the sins of his life time will be pardoned.



<b>It is reported in yet another Hadith that "Whoever reads it in hunger, will be satisfied; Whoever reads it while having lost his way; will find his way; Whoever reads it on losing an animal, will find the same. And when one reads it apprehending that his food will run short, that food will become sufficient; and if one reads it besides a person who is in the agonies of death, his agonies will be made easy for him; and if anyone reads it on a woman experiencing difficulty in child-birth, her delivery will become easy" </b>


<i><b>According to another Hadith, Allah ta'ala recited Surah Yas'een and Surah Taba one thousand years before the HE Created the Heavens and the Earth, and on hearing this the angels said: " Blessing is for that Ummah unto whom the Quraan will be sent down, blessing is for the hearts which will hear ( memorise it) and Blessing is for the tongues which will recite it". </b></i>

First we can not favor one surat over the other lest we fall into making difference between the word of Allah. The whole Quran is excellent and so sweet, we may say that we interact with Surats in different manners from one time to another, each time u recite Quran u do inteact with a different Ayah or Surat.


second we really need to verify facts like the quoted ones lest we fall into bida`a. If it is backed up with hadeeth fine. but there is really much circulating among people about different virtues of suras. We can simply say that reciting it equals reciting Quran 10 times, just as reciting Ikhlas equals 1/3 of Quran and so forth. Or we may also try to verify those facts
