Assalamu aleikum,

You are so funny sister [Image: tongue.gif]

NO I don't know how to make chocolate - how lucky [Image: rolleyes.gif] I would be rolling down the streets instead of walking [Image: laugh.gif]

Maybe I could be called a 'Choclate bar' instead of Swedish [Image: tongue.gif][Image: rolleyes.gif]

Now my sweeeet talk is finished for now [Image: wub.gif]

lol Sister too bad, I was gonna ask you to teach me

Guess what? I know how to make one type of chocolate, but thats it. Believe me if you learn how to make this one, you'll be able to walk just fine lol [Image: tongue.gif] , At first I used to watch my Mom make it thinking oh god this looks difficult mom [Image: ohmy.gif] , but as soon as I tried it became easy for me.

This site has some choclates recipes

On another note, i always think there should be some kind of certificate when it comes to say fried chicken shops. There's a big Muslim community where i live and now and then i like a break from TUNA, TUNA, TUNA so i like to get some take away chicken from some of the Halal fried chicken shops. And all i have to go on is the take away owners fear of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) to trust whether the meat is Halal. And we all know some people don't fear Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) enough. I just think maybe some kind of certificate would be good for these places to get, it would be a little bit more solid than some guys "yes" when asking if it's Halal. Surely they are supposed to have some kind of certificate anyway? I find it hard to enjoy my meal chewing on the meat, always wondering if it's Halal or not instead of just eating the thing!

Erm, t-that is all. [Image: rolleyes.gif]

If someone says that the meat is halal and it is not really, then the sin is on the person who said that it was halal. Allah Knows our intensions so I try not to let that bother me too much while enjoying some deliciousness at the local eatery.

O boy this thread makes me really so grateful for living in a so called Muslim country at least we dont have to worry about this.

I remember on my last visit to the US 1998, I had sometimes to pay $10 (which can give me a shock when converted to Egyptian currency) for a taxi to take me to a store that sells halal meat. La hawla wala qowata ila billah. But I guess if u r living in the place is different, it becomes sort of easier.

Assalamu aleikum,

True, you have to watch your steps when living in a none-Muslim country [Image: wink.gif]

BUT since I have experienced both, your LEARN to live with it or if I may address Anya here - you make a cultural adjustment [Image: rolleyes.gif]

Anyway must also say that it is easier here since meat IS halal insha'Allah, BUT there are other things still that one has to be careful about. For ex buying sweets that are not 'made in Maroc' but imported - then I almost always don't even give it at chance, I am so suspicious. I have learned my lesson well insha'Allah. And if there is something I really want, then I have to check the ingredients. So things imported can still be a problem and one has to be careful. [Image: unsure.gif]

But alhamdulillah going to the local market to buy lovely fruits and vegetables then you can throw all suspicions overboard and only enjoy. [Image: biggrin.gif]
