Bismillah
Praise be to Allah and prayer and peace be upon His Messenger Mohamed, his household and companions.
With all due respect to my dear sister Radiyah whom I highly regard and respect for I learnt much from her, but the expression which she used more than once on the Quran stating that:" So is the purifiying here mentioned how it should be, of course not, imagine if everything is mentioned in full detail in The Quran, how big will it be, and can we carry it or read it or memorize it, of course not",
might be misunderstood by non Muslims, new Muslims or even raised Muslims.
It could give the impression that Quran missed few details, facts, instructions or better to say was incomplete, although I am aware that she stressed in her post saying:" So what I am trying to say, that many say that there are things not mentioned in The Quran, everything is mentioned in The Quran, nothing is left".
Just for more explanation and benefit of all.
In fact Allah Did not leave out anything from Quran. It is a comprehensive book applicable throughout times and eras.
I remember reading about a modern scholar (don’t exactly remember his name) who was challenged while visiting Paris, that people told him u say Quran contains everything, tell us how many pounds of flour is needed to make a certain number of pieces of bread they mentioned that I don’t remember now. He called the baker and asked him, he gave him the answer which he gave back to them. They rejected it saying that it is not from Quran. But he said no it is from the Quran as Allah Say:
“So ask of those who know the Scripture [learned men of the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], if you know not.
.” (Quran 16:43) The Ayah can be also translated as ask those who possess the specialized knowledge when u don’t know. By this Ayah Allah actually sat a rule which the scholar applied.
Back to the main point, when Allah Puts the following Ayahs in Quran:
“O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ﻢﻠﺳﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻰﻠﺻ), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger (ﻢﻠﺳﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻰﻠﺻ), if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination..” (Quran 4:59)
In this amazing legislative book Allah Didn’t overlook the tiniest detail of our life, even the intimate relation between married couples Allah Explained in a very eloquent style full of shyness including when, how etc as in:
“They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore keep away from women during menses and go not unto them till they have purified (from menses and have taken a bath). And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah has ordained for you (go in unto them in any manner as long as it is in their vagina). Truly, Allah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers, etc.).
.* Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth (have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus), when or how you will, and send (good deeds, or ask Allah to bestow upon you pious offspring) before you for your ownselves. And fear Allah, and know that you are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give good tidings to the believers (O Muhammad ﻢﻠﺳﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻰﻠﺻ).” (Quran 2: 222-223) (which is actually the same Ayahs Radiyah quoted for the Taharah issue)
these two amazing Ayas actually sums up the regulations of an intercourse in full detail including even encouragement for men on how to do it taking their wives feelings in consideration. This example proves that Allah Didn’t overlook details.
But we may say that because Allah made the following rule in Quran in many positions:
“O ye who believe obey Allah, and obey the apostle, and those charged with authority among you. if ye differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to Allah and his apostle, if ye do believe in Allah and the last day: that is best, and most suitable for final determination.” (Quran 4:59)
“Say: Obey Allah, and obey the Apostle: but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Apostle's duty is only to preach the clear (Message).” (Quran 24:54)
“O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Apostle, and make not vain your deeds!” (Quran 47:33)
And He also Say:
“But those who disobey Allah and his apostle and transgress his limits will be admitted to a fire, to abide therein: and they shall have a humiliating punishment.” (Quran 4: 14)
“It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.” (Quran 33:36)
To be more precise, the Ayah say when Allah and His Apostle makes a Judgment on a matter. Actually by virtue of this Ayah Allah Gave the legislation and Judgment authority to the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam.
Ok having said that, we can explain that it is not that Allah Was unable to include in His final book all of that, no it is so easy for Allah. He Has means, ways and styles to Express what is needed.
With a simple look to the Ayahs’ of inheritance included in (Quran 4:10-12), one can understand that. Just in few words Allah Sat rules of inheritance covering several options as well.
To conclude, Allah Made a rule of the necessity to obey, follow, and copy the Messenger, thru this rule which must be applied as any other part of Quran we derive from the Sunnah what the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam teaches us.
I don’t want to go into more details on this issue as also why the rule is set, but I just wanted to stress the point that it is not the lack of ability on Allah’s side to include everything in Quran which is already included by virtue of the above Ayahs.
I might have repeated what dear sister Radiyah said but in a different style just for more clarification and closing this gap Insh a Allah
May Allah Accept and forgive any shortcomings.
