Thought of the Week

As salaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu.

How is everyone's Ramdhan going??? :)

"And the men and women who remember Allah frequently, Allah has prepared for then forgiveness and great reward."

[Qur'an 33:35]

InshaAllah try to make a habit of keeping your tongue moist with dhikr through out the days of this blessed month, so that even after Ramadhan you will be in this habit.

- Time to pick up new good habits and drop the old bad habits inshaAllah!

"Whoever comes to me walking, I come to him running."

[Al-Bukhari]

Du'as requested. :)

Wsalaam.

Assalaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh

I am feeling sad as the month Ramadan is passing away sooo quickly. Can’t believe we are half way through the month already.

As each day passes we must strive to increase in our deeds to take as much benefit from this blessed month, inshallah.

Some suggestions of things to implement if you’re not implementing already –

1) To pray all the 12 Sunnah prayers (2 Rak’aah before Fajr, 4 Rak’aah before dhur & 2 Rak’aah after it, 2 Rak’aah after Magrib, 2 Rak’aah after Isha)

“There is not a Muslim servant who prays to Allah twelve rak’aat, other than the obligatory prayers, every day and in obedience to Him, except that Allah builds for him a house in Paradise; or a house will be built for him in Paradise.” (Muslim)

2) To pray Duhaa (which starts approx 20 mins after sunrise and lasts until approximately 20 mins before dhur)

“Every morning, charity is due on every joint of a person – every Tasbeeh is a charity, to enjoin good is a charity and to forbid evil is a charity. All of this is sufficed by two Rak’aah prayed at Ad-Duhaa. (Muslim)

3) To pray four Sunnah of Salaah Al-Asr (as far as i am aware this should not be implemented regularly as the Prophet did not implement on a daily basis)

“May Allah have mercy on a person who prays four Rak’aah before Salaah Al-Asr.” (Abu Dawood)

4) It is recommended to recite the following after one has prayed his Witr prayer after the tasleem

Subhaan al-Malik al-Quddoos (Far removed is the King, the Holy from any imperfections) three times, saying aloud the third time and adding the words: Rabb al-Malaa'ikah wa'l-Rooh (Lord of the angels and the Spirit). (Abu Dawood & An-Nasaaee)

5) When you reach the Sujood al-Tilaawah in the Quran then perform the prostration and say

“Sajada wajhee lil-ladhee khalaqahu wa shaqqa sam‛ahu wa baṣarahu biḥawlihi wa quwwatih, tabaarak-allaahu aḥsanul-khaaliqeen (My face fell prostrate before He who created it and brought forth its faculties of hearing and seeing by His might and power) (Abu Dawood)

6) Give charity – or even better, set up a standing order with your favourite charity or Islamic organisation so that a donation is debited each month from your account, and inshallah you receive the reward each month (especially with our busy London life it is easy to forget or to procrastinate in giving charity regularly). I don’t usually mention when i give charity but on this occasion i have decide to mention it inshallah with the hope that you will be motivated to call a charity and make a donation.

Having seen the Solace video i was very touched and decided to set up a standing order on monthly basis. With the hope that my donation will aid Solace in continuing their good work of helping and supporting new sisters in Islam which there is a need for!!! At the same time I am humbly hoping that this will be a sadaqa jariyah for me for every sister who benefits from my donation and stays in the deen and becomes a firm muslimah that I will have a share in that reward, even after my soul is taken by Allah.

I want to finally end with the following hadith

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah, The Exalted, are the most consistent, even if they are small” [bukhari and Muslim].

Take care and please remember me in your duas!!!

As salaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu :)

What do you have to offer that will benefit the Ummah?

Contemplate and see what you are good at. Whether it be something big or something small... It doesn't matter. Each one of us has something that we can benefit the Ummah with. Whether it's helping one person or a 1000.

Even these little texts I do now and again could be a way of helping someone or many people. You just have to think of something you are good at, or have time for, and do it!

Let's get active and make a change. Even if the change is an atoms worth. It doesn't matter because in the eyes of Allah it is worth so much!

"By Allah, if Allah were to guide one man through you it would be better for you than the best type of wealth." (Bukhari, Muslim)

<div style="color:rgb(93,128,128);font-size:14px;font-weight:bold;">Narrated Abu Umayah Ash-Sha'bani:

"I went to Abu Tha'balah Al-Khushani and said to him: 'How do you deal with this Ayah?' He said: 'Which Ayah?' I said: 'Allah's saying: Take care of yourselves! If you follow the guidance no harm shall come to you (5:105).' He said: 'Well, by Allah! I asked one well-informed about it, I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about it. [so] he said: "Rather, comply with (and order) the good, and stay away from (and prohibit) the evil, until you see avarice obeyed, desires followed, and the world preferred, and everyone is amazed with his view. Then you should be worried about yourself in particular, and worry of the common folk. Ahead of you are the days in which patience is like holding onto an ember, for the doer (of righteous deeds) during them is the like of the reward of fifty of those who do the like of what you do." 'Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said: "It was added for me, by other than 'Utbah, that it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah! The reward of fifty men among us, or them?' He said: 'No! Rather the reward of fifty men among you.'"
