I’m presuming that since it’s not quite difficult enough already to be a woman in the (insecure) male dominated and controlled society of Iran, it only makes sense to add another layer of humiliating gender apartheid at women’s expense. Iran: More Restriction Imposed on Women

In Iran's National Security Council, women must now work in separate rooms from men, and may not attend meetings with their male colleagues.
