Hadith of the Week -- Anas relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ï؟½None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.ï؟½ [sahï؟½h al-Bukhï؟½rï؟½ and Sahï؟½h Muslim] and Allah's Messenger (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wassallam) said "A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. It is a serious evil for a Muslim that he should look down upon his brother Muslim. All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith; his blood, his wealth and his honour".

The word "Brother" in Islam is not restricted to the relationship between real brothers only, it applies to all muslims regardless of age, men or women and location. May Allah increase the love in our hearts for our brothers and sisters in Islaam, to not allow us to harm each other but rather look after and takecare of each other. Ameen!
