Al - Azhar is discussing to open a branch in Thiland

Al-Azhar University Rector Ahmed El-Tayyib discussed on Sunday with the head of the education committee at the Thai House of Representatives the underway preparations for opening a branch of Al-Azhar University in Thailand.

Al-Tayyib said that AI-Azhar is keen on teaching Thai youngsters Arabic to prepare them for joining the university in Cairo and that's why tireless efforts are exerted to set up an institute for teaching Arabic there.

The Thai official, on his part, expressed desire to benefit from AI-Azhar Universty in the religious teaching field.
