Dear fellow bros/sisters,


Do u think taking one's own life and the lives of innocent victims, women and children is allowed for in the Quran? In the afterlive, e.g. if the innocent victims were muslims as well. Will they be accorded a place in paradise. What will happen to their dependents if the sole breadwinner is gone. Is the muslim community responsible to provide for them? How do we answer the questions of their children when they asked how their father/mother died? An accident?


I am disturbed by all these human tragedies. Please help me with an explanation.

taking the life of any person, even animals, without a good reason is strictly prohibited in Islam. Al-Qur'an urges us to fight (and kill) those who fight us first, but not the innocent ones. Rasulullah (SAW) even said that:

Whoever killed a person having a treaty of protection with Muslims, shall not smell the scent of Paradise, though its scent is perceived from a distance of forty years

(Sahih Al-Bokhary)
which means, killing those who are not threatening Muslims, i.e., living in peace with Muslims, will never enter the Jannah, not even be able to smell the scent.


about the victims, will they be granted paradise or not.... i think it should be based on their deeds. but i agreed with you, the killings are very much of disturbances.

My only suggestion is that the muslims of every nation (the ummah) should rise up and condemn these suicide bombings which are not just killing the enemies but also the fellow muslims. We should make our voices heard in Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, and even in Israel.


We should prove to the non-believers that Islam is a peaceful religion which respect the lives of the innocents. If we should declare jihad, let it be against the institutions and army machineries of the enemies BUT NOT the innocent children and women. It hurts badly to see the dismembered bodies of these innocent ones. I ask WHY? WHY? WHY? Why them???
