ChristyNicole,
When quoting the gospel according to John, you may want to investigate the authenticity of the book of John itself. There are many quotes attributed to Jesus in all four gospels, however,
1. No one knows who the real authors are of ANY of these books.
2. There are additions to, and deletions of these books in their original form.
3. Through translations of Aramaic, Hebrew, to Greek, to English, meanings in these gospels have been lost.
Christians have quoted from the book of John until they have been blue in the face, meanwhile, what they quote from can not even be proven to be authentic. It is a fact that NO ONE knows who the authors are of ANY of these books.
So...... in response to your claim that no one goes unto the father but through Jesus, that just holds no weight with me. None whatsoever. Unless you provide a book like the Quran, it will never be the truth to me. Plain and simple. So quoting from all these gospels is pointless, empty, and meaningless.
This may have come across harsh, but I've been a Christian my whole life, I have studied the Bible, read commentaries, read books studying one gospel at a time, and I was left feeling pretty cheated, lied to, and disappointed in Christianity.
What you really need to do, instead of quoting out of the Bible, learn about the history behind the Bible itself.
