WASHINGTON, DC - Feb. 11, 2009 (MASFREEDOM.ORG) - MAS Freedom (MASF), the civic and human rights advocacy entity of the Muslim American Society (MAS), the ANSWER Coalition, invite you to join hundreds of endorsers and tens of thousands of people from across the nation, in adding your voice and footsteps to the 'LET GAZA LIVE' National March on the Pentagon, Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 12 Noon and starting at 23rd and Constitution Ave., NW, in Washington, D.C.
MAS Freedom is encouraging all people of conscience to join us in the pursuit of amendments to U.S. foreign policy that say "No!" to the billions of tax dollars currently funding and materially contributing to the ongoing humanitarian crisis heightened by the recent Israeli invasion of Gaza resulting in the death and disfigurement of more than 5,000 Palestinians who have also not only lost their homes, but due to the continued embargo on Gaza, are unable to obtain the most basic necessities of life.
"The historical election of Barack Obama will not, alone, end our government's flawed policy of economically bankrupting our nation by feeding the insatiable appetite of the Pentagon and the huge lobby of the military industrial complex. It is 'we the people', who, by organizing sustained political action that must shift the priority of the nation from bombs-to-bread and from war, death, and destruction,to peace and human prosperity," stated MAS Freedom Executive Director, Mahdi Bray.
"The election is over but the crimes of war and occupation remain. It's time for real change, and people of faith must participate in acting to be a part of the voice of real change in demanding freedom and peace," Bray added.
MAS Freedom chapters will hold joint actions across the nation.
