Many questions about Islam
#11

Jazak Allah Khairan Sister.

It is hard to watch someone attack Islam in such a manner. I acted out of anger and not reason. This is something I must not do. Please feel free my Brothers and Sisters to tell me if I say or do the wrong things. I can handle the truth. We all must except this challenge to become better Muslims.

I feel for amai, I get the same kind of reaction from people on my choice to revert to Islam. Some of my co-workers do not even say hello to me anymore since I have told them I am a Muslim. I make sure I am very kind and respectful of them. Now these people I have been kind to realize I am still the same person, and now talk to me and even ask me questions. I was scared of people and not Allah, and this helped me to ask for time to offer salat at work. Alhumduliallah, I can pray at work and have much more peace inside my heart. They will even let me take my last break when I want to as Fajr becomes later in the morning.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path. Ameen.

As Salam Alykom

I am so glad for your input it sure adds much for all of us. They are not attacking Islam, they are trying to overcome the sound of truth inside them out of so many reasons. Look at twister's reply to amai on another topic. go look it pls. YOU will be very pleased. Alhamdulelah brother who has guided us for this if it was not for Him we would not have been guided

Quote:How does one know for a fact that Islam is truly of God, that it is real? How can you be sure that the Prophet Muhammed wasn't influenced by the Christians and Jews around him and he didn't "put together" his own faith by bowrrowing heavily from these existing faiths and holy writings?[/quote:15e7357238]The Prophet (SAAWS) was illiterate Michelle, how can he put together something when he can't read or write?

Don't you think he would need someone to read and write them for him (SAAWS)? If he did (SAAWS) found someone to do it for him, why didn't that someone say anything about it, why didn't that someone claim the prophecy himself?

If he (SAAWS) was influenced by the jews and christians, why didn't they follow him then? Why did they try to kill him? Why did they alter the bible in the 1st place to hide his identity if they knew that they can influence him?

Lets say you wanted to put together a new religion from what u already know about judisam and chiristianity, how long would it take you to do that and how many people do you need to read and edit every book out there so that u can pull something like this off 1400 years ago?

Just some logic for u to think about, and keep reading and asking all you want.

I will tend to the other questions soon insha ALLAH.

P.S. You might want to read his (SAAWS) history before and after the prophecy, it will surely help answer all questions about him (SAAWS). Let me know and I will post some links for you to read from.

Also, I would advice you to read the translation of the Quran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali as it is the best that u can read, let me know and I can post some links for you to read it from or even get it for free.

I wanted to make a suggestion to both Michelle and Twister. There is a very good film called [b:59b21441ad]"The Message" [/b:59b21441ad] that is about the life of the Prophet. My family saw this and it is really incredible how much you learn in a few short hours.

We have this film at our local library, it may be at yours too. Just wanted to let you know about it.
