Anyone going uni nxt yr?

I would jst like to knw if anyone here if going to be finnishing college this year an be off to uni next yr?

Inshallah if all goes to plan im gna be going to uni to be doing sumthing to do with computing.

Does anyone here already go to uni? How is uni life like in general?

So is uni jst like college in terms of religion meaning people getting up to no good etc? In college u have islamic talks or wotever so is it the same in uni aswell?

I am in Tarleton State University,Stephenville,Texas right now and I just got here 2 months ago from Saudi Arabia.For me it was a big change as ofcourse in Saudi Arabia you can get as much as help you want in any topic concerning islam and there are mosques almost every mile.But here,unfortuanately this a small town where i have come and there are hardly any muslims and no mosques. But Alhamdulillah Allah has helped me to stick myself to the faith in him. Basically it all depends upon the place where you go.

If you have any more doubts please feel free to ask anything else.

Salam yeh i understand wot ur saying. It does depend on wot kind of place you go to.

I jst wanna say i gt sum of my exams results which of sum were bad pls can u pray for me that i do pass them again this rite round.

congratulations! i hope u do well in uni. about uni, well... i guess one thing that's VERY important, is to have networks of friends to do your assignments etc. unless ur a super genius, u'll need friends to help u in uni... a lot of times. & u also need to get more books, be more aware of what's going on. if u like, join some clubs! it would look good in ur resume.

if u need a role model, i think Prof Abdus Salam is great example. he's a muslim student from a poor country making it in Cambridge. imagine a Pakistani, in a new world of Cambridge. but he made it & became a Nobel Laureate.

so get a clique, be aware & join clubs - good luck!

well ive started uni made lots of friends alhamdulillah they are all so nice and caring. It was great in ramadhan especially wen we opened our fast togegther and everything.


Uni at the begiining first few days was well scary and stuff, i didnt know anyone. I didnt knw hw my lectures wld be and my lessons. But they are all going well one thing its getting harder and harder.


U dnt realise but time flies and i only have abt 3 weeks left then holidays and wen i get bk its EXAMS!!!!


Anyway tk care people
