Quote:104:And We said to the Children of Israel after him: "Dwell in the land, then, when the final and the last promise comes near [i.e. the Day of Resurrection or the descent of Christ ['Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) <><> <> on the earth]. We shall bring you altogether as mixed crowd (gathered out of various nations).[Tafsir Al-Qurtubî, Vol. 10, Page 338] (Al-Isra 17:104)
And the final promise is the resurrection day as u see here in this translation, and it is not only the jews will come to this land but all nations from all over, all will be forced to this land by a fire that will start from yemen land to the holy land of palestine, then the end of the world will come.

Quote:Radiyah:
Using your translation, Surah 17:104 reads:

Clearly, this verse is directed towards the Jews. The word "you" which I have colored in red is referring to the phrase "Children of Israel". "Gathered out of various nations" clearly describes the way Jews have returned to the promised land over the last 100 years.

According to this verse, then, when the Day of Resurrection draws near the Jews will be gathered from the various nations where they were scattered, and return to dwell in Israel.

It appears to me that this prediction is being fulfilled, and that it is Allah's (swt) will that the Jews return to Israel.

Reepicheep.

Ok here is the verse quoted both by Radiyah and Reepi.....they both say the same thing, that all jews will be brought together in a mixed crowd gathered out of various nations. I'm assuming the issue comes in when Reepi tries to apply this verse to the current state of Israel? And also Radiyah mentions a "fire that will start from yemen land to the holy land of palestine, then the end of the world will come."
<<<Did this come from a tafsir she didn't mention? I ask because what she posted made no mention of this. Well those are my questions and yes, I do think the part of the post I was confused on is indeed cleared up.

Peace Shamms

Yes that was what reepi attempted to do, apply it to the current situation and I cleared up also something for him, let me dig the number of posts.

Ok look at # 9 and 19

As for the fire part yes Radiyah got this from tafseer, she just might have forgotten to mention that.

So now I hope all is clear.

Sorry for not putting any reference I usually do, accept my aplogies, below is the reference:

From Sahih Muslim

(51) Book 41, Number 6931:

Hudhaifa b. Usaid Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

Peace
