I have just received a text message from a reliable muslim that it is eid tomorrow.


Has anyone else had any news if it is eid tomorrow?

I have the same question.... according to moonsightings.com the moon will be seen in America on Saturday, but that makes Eid on Sunday right? Thanks.... Christy

it is announced that eid here in Egypt is on Sun Insh aAllah may Allah accept from us and u and all Muslims ameen

Due to the fact we have technological means of communication the issue of time nor calculation should exist (if a claim of moon sighting has been established).


Nor does the issue of locality arise i.e. in the US etc. as a muslim to report he has sighted the moon in Dubai should be enough.
