How are u brother Waheed. I would like to tell u something, Questions are never silly, when u ask a question it means u don't know, and that is not silly [img]style_emoticons/default/smile.gif[/img], so u can ask as many questions as u can, just as sister Muslimah said don't give yourself the right to judge people. [img]style_emoticons/default/smile.gif[/img]
Now about the pictures thing, I had a lecture about that from azharete scholar Sheikh Sayed Noah, he said that hanging pictures and statues is haram, and he gave the same ahadeeth given by my sisters, but we asked him the same question u asked, that we have memory pictures, how can we destroy them, he said it is okay to keep them in closed albums and to be looked at as a memory, but do not hang on walls. So u can keep your pictures and videos brother, Insha'Allah no harm in that, but NO HANGING on wall. That is a fact. About the smilyes, i guess they are okay, becasue they are just drawings that express your feelings and they are not true pictures. And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala A'la Wa 'Alam( Allah is The Exalted and All Knowing).
