Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
Is there a Quran Reciter who sounds similar to Abdul Basit? By this I mean nice and slow with sita harakat - 6 stretch tajweed?

Quote:Bismillah Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, Do you mean Mishary Rashed al-Efasy? Yes. But Abdul Basit is unique. And also a little too much. Something in between would be nice.

I love "Abdul Rahman Alsudais" vioce...its just gear masha'allah here is the link..where u can listen to him :) http://www.muslimaccess.com/quraan/recit...Sudais.htm :bismillah: as salam alykom Yes I meant Mishary execuse the misspelling. I think he is good, shereen Sudais is good but it is not what Faris is looking for, Faris try either Hosary, Mishary or Shuraim. Shuraim is the 2nd Haram Imam he alternates with Sudias. :)

Asalaamu alikum, Mahmood Khaleel Al-Husaree is the best. His recitation is very slow and very clear. No one has matched his his quality of recitation since recordings have begun. When he recites it is like he wants you you to hear every syllable in the Holy Qur'an. He is from Egypt too! ;)
