Democratic Iraq - Whisper - 05-11-2003 It is obvious to me that Iraq will become a democratic state, and not an Islamic republic, that's the future whether you like it or not, but I want your thoughts on a democratic Iraq. Democratic Iraq - Peace in Ireland - 05-13-2003 A democratic Iraq would be ideal. In a democratic Iraq, all ethnic groups would have their proportional say in the National Government and all groups would be protected under law. Unfortunatly, Bush is not interested in implementing REAL democracy in Iraq (or in the U.S. forthat matter. Please see the 2000 elections for more info). If there was true Democracy in Iraq, Bush would have no control over Iraq (or its oil) and the people would be left to govern themselves. Most likely, a puppet government will be established and will go hiddiously wrong in 10-20 years like all of our puppet governments and the U.S. military will invade Iraq all over again. But that's just a theory ;-) Democratic Iraq - albani - 06-28-2003 Quote:It is obvious to me that Iraq will become a democratic state, and not an Islamic republic, that's the future whether you like it or not, but I want your thoughts on a democratic Iraq.[/quote:473f458241]yeh sure is already see . |
