Hate - Purgetroy - 09-14-2003


I have noticed something in common with several arabs and mainly muslims. We have this soft spot when it comes to our nation or religion and this soft spot is whats probably causing alot (but not all) of our uncalled for problems.

We have our enemies, everyone has enemies. But being the second largest nation in the world, that makes our enemies alot. Yet remember, brothers and sisters, alot is not all. nor does it mean anywhere near all.

I recently saw a topic on the board about a song calling muslims names and calling for a crusade. The topic starter asked a question. He said something about the song calling for a crusade and asked, what are muslims calling for?

What are we calling for? Lets ask another question first. Should we call for anything? My answer would be no. My answer would be not only to not call for another bloody war. But to apologise and try to stop those who call for wars. We have had enough holy wars for one nation, let us not start the next one and cause any more bloodshed from both sides. Non-muslims are still humans incase we forgot.

I am aware of Israel, Iraq and the rest of "the axis of evil". But where have that a place in religion? If any war should take place, it is a war against a political invader and not a religious invader. Let us not blame a whole nation for the mistakes of the few ignorant in the ruling class. Our war now isnt against the Christians nor the Jews. Our war is against a political, physical, armed men and their government (ONLY and that means we dont include the civilians of the invading nation) until they stop harrasing our land and people.

The song posted is truely insulting, but should we call for anything because of that and the many more insults we face? Before we answer that, I would like to ask you to look with an alien neutral eye. Turn on your arabsat or nilesat or other arabian satalites. Watch TV and flip through the channels and watch the TV programs, the songs, the movies and series. I dont see any love from our side. I also see our people insulting the west and their culture. Why are we surprised when we see them insulting us? Are we given liberty in Islam to do as we like to those who doesnt have the same beliefs as us? And then get in a state of rage when they do the samething towards us?

Let us be more open minded and over look this nonsense and similar ones. Even if thousands have rallied in every country in the world against Islam, we should not do the same. Wrong is not solved with wrong.

Do you accept being judged for the death of Israeli children and women by suicide bombers? Do you accept being judged for the bombing of the hotel in Indonesia? Do you accept being judged for Bin Laden and Sadam? Do you accept being judged for the muslim sniper in the US? and many more muslim criminals. I dont. And equaly, I dont judge non-muslims for the crimes of a few of their people. These crimes are not be intitles "Christian Criminals" or "Jewish Criminals" or even "US Criminals" or "Israeli Criminals". What are we asking for? a sinnless nation? ofcourse they have criminals. Ofcourse there is atleast a hundred of their people wanting to tear us apart. But is that enough to blame their whole nation? I think not. The criminals should be intitles by their names. They are human and that is why they have done what they have done. We are not angels ourselves.

There are several non-muslims and non-arabs that side with us against any more bloodshed. An excelent example would be that US Christian peace keeper in Jerusalem. She was run over by a bulldozer while trying to stop it demolish a Palastinain house.

So let us remove this foolish hate inside us and be more open minded. Overlook minor and individual hate. Or even group hate. It doesnt matter. Those who have minds in their head will think a thousand times before causing bloodshed. And certainly before judging a whole nation, past and present for the mistakes of those who dont have anything in their heads.

this shows how much of the western non-muslims are with us and how much wester non-muslims are against us. As you can see, there are only two people that are against us and everyone else has spoken my mind.

I think what Purgetroy is saying in a nutshell is that PATIENCE is the key to success. The one to act out of anger has lost.

Once when the Prophet and Abu Baker were together, a man who was very angry approached. He was angry with Abu Baker and began to shout rude insults at him. Abu Baker just stood there patiently and took it, but the man kept shouting on and on. The things he was saying were false, and finally Abu Baker could take it no longer. He began to defend himself against the mans insults. The second he began to do so, the Prophet got up and left the room.

Afterword, Abu Baker asked the Prophet why he left. The Prophet responded by saying 'The whole time you were patient while he told falsehoods against you, the Angels circled above protecting you. But the second you began to defend yourself, Shaytan entered the room and I do not stay in a room with Shaytan.'

It's a good lesson from the best teacher.

any way purgetroy, a major point is Islam is based on peace, yet Jihad is a major issue that tests people's solidity of devotion. The only difference between Muslims and non Muslims is that non Muslims avoid death, Muslims go for it during Jihad for they are certain about the reward.

It has nothing to do with hate. Alhamdulelah we hate no body, u know better, Quran is full of verses that regulate our relation with non Muslims. We are allowed to eat their food the same for them. and so forth. The whole point is how to define the what u call blood shed. This is the issue.

yet dear mother, it doesnt mean that we should start wars for the simplest thing against us. we should be patient and overlook the minor blunders as far as possible.

Ghandi has freed India without bloodshed. well there was bloodshed, but that was out of his hand and it wasnt the trigger that freed the land. it was Ghandi who freed the land. and he wasnt even a muslim.

before we are muslim, i believe we should remember that we are humans. before we look for differences between the people, lets look for the bonds. afterall, it is the differences that creats hate and war.

Gandh's approach of non violent protest was not new, but Prophet Muhammed (SAW) had did the same thing for 13 years in Makkah. Too bad we muslims didn't learnt that, and the non muslims found this way.

Dear bothers and sisters I do not have a great english language

but I am going to try to explain some things.

First- Its not right to call Bin Laden or Saddam or others as

criminals. Brother there are alot for me and you to learn and to

know what happend there and whats happening right now.

I am not defenging anyone though but beleive me its not as you think.

Killing civilians, children, trees, anyone making (Ebada)

praying in a church or (Ma'bad) for any relegion no matter what it

is ... etc, is prohibeted in Islam. But we have to think of our

children are being killed in Palestine and Iraq I do not think that

all of you saw these kids and children.

Second- I would to explain some thing about Jihad in Islam or a

simple example so people can understand a small part of it.

When Khalid bin Alwaleed went to fight against the Fors and

Room (Romans), he did not go there because he just felt like it,

(Abu Baker was the Khaleefa) and he tried to spread Islam in

these to countries which were located in (Iraq) and (Belad

Ashaam) By peace they asked the kings of these two countries

(imperors) to let spread Islam peacfuly They refused so muslims

decided to fight them to do so coz its (OUR DUTY IN LIFE) then

whats important is after they won each war they went back to

each king of these imperors and told him that we are going to

give you your land, money, women, every thing BACK, we just

wanted to spread islam AND THEY DID, but when people in these

countries saw what Islam is all about and how peaceful it is they

all converted to Islam. I hope that was clear.

Third- Muslims lived in Spain (Alandalus) for some time, then they

were kicked out from there, WHAT HAPPEND THEN .... Jews in

Spain ran away from spain with the muslims coz mulsims treats

them great according to the teachings of islam.

Finally - We have a duity in life which is spreading islam, when

there is peace its the best time to spread islam as Profit

Muhammad Prayers and Peace be Upon Him did when they went

to make (Omra) from Madeena to Mecca he accepted the peace

even we muslims were strong just to spread islam - (Do not

compare this with Palestine now) - after that 1000's of people

converted to islam, if we (muslims) do not know the right

teachings of islam how are we going to spread it... I know that

there are alot of things in islam that we do not know and we

realy need to know all of us.

Remeber brothers that our children and families are being killed in

Palestine and Iraq and our sisters are being raped in Palestine

and alot more..

So sorry for the long post with a weak language...

I can not do better (Try to understand it).

I love Allah that made muslim and I love you all and all humans

most of my friends are christians and I have 3 Jew friends.

I wish I have time to post more ... :confused:
