Or y u have to like him? If u asked anyone do u like the prophet (PBUH)? they will say yes, but if u asked them y do u like him? they won't answer b/c they don't know anything about the prophet (PBUH). So let us together list as many reasons as possible y do we like the prophet (PBUH). 1- He was chosen by Allah 2- He is the best human being 3- He brought Islam 4- He made us Muslims 5- He will save us from hell 6- He prayed for our safety (to go to heavens) 7- He made us the best ppl on earth 8- He made us a great empire 9- He brought us the Quran from Allah 10- He left us with El-Ketab & Al- Sunnah P.S. I want to ask the readers plz post more reasons so we could feel the love of our beloved Mohammed (PBUH). Salam~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Masriahmuslimah:) Things that makes u grateful to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). - SisterJennifer - 10-24-2003 The Prophet Muhammad (saw) used to offer the following dua': "O Allah, keep me in the company of the poor. Let me die in poverty, raise me with the poor on the Day of Judgement." Aisha once asked the Prophet, "Why do you ask to be kept in the company of the poor, let you die in poverty and raise you with the poor?" Rasulullah replied, "The poor will enter the Paridise before the rich." After a pause he added, "O Aisha, never turn a needy person away from your door. Give him something, though it be only a piece of a date. Respect the poor and love them in spite of their poverty. If you bring the poor and needy closer to you, Allah will bring you closer to himself." When I remember the humble character of the Prophet, I love him more, and appreiciate more the blessings I have been given. He is truly a Mercy sent to us form Allah, and if we all make an effort to be a bit more like the Prophet, insha Allah we will be a better people. May Allah shower his mercy on His Ummah. I don't think Muslims pay enough attention to the life that Mohammad lead. 1- He was chosen by Allah I have my doubts. 2- He is the best human being Hmmm, really ? There is some questionable behaviour from him. 3- He brought Islam He sure did ! 4- He made us Muslims He also forced a large number of non muslims to accept Islam or be put to the sword. 5- He will save us from hell Perhaps. Perhaps we are already in a living hell 6- He prayed for our safety (to go to heavens) Mine too or is it just muslims ? 7- He made us the best ppl on earth A rather racist statement don't you think ? 8- He made us a great empire Yes he did leaving a trail of carnage and misery where ever he lead his armies, bravo ! 9- He brought us the Quran from Allah He could have made the whole thing up as a hoax too. 10- He left us with El-Ketab & Al- Sunnah I don't know what that is but if it comes with fries, I will certainly try it Things that makes u grateful to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). - Muslimah - 10-25-2003 Quote:Originally posted by HabibHibee You know, I think you are right. However, will ask u the same question I asked john when he first came here under the name of David before he changed it to 3 other nick names. Why are u on an Islamic forum Habib????????? Waiting for your answer and from that we can then decided what u and us would like to do......... Your truly Muslimah Things that makes u grateful to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). - Guest - 10-25-2003 I think most of you on here are either very new to Islam or are just not paying attention. I stick by my responses. Just do your own research, nothing I said was untrue and is all entirely possible. Except the last one, I really don't know what that is but I will find out. Back to the Non Muslim forum for me !! Quote:Originally posted by Muslimah Tut, tut, may Allah forgive you for damning me. Quote:Originally posted by Muslimah 7- He made us the best ppl on earthI saw a racist biggoted statement and I challanged it. Same way I would challenge white supremists. Not that I am lumping you in with them. Quote:Originally posted by Muslimah 8- He made us a great empireNo comment and then a comment, strange. Romans hey ? What did they ever gives. Roads, yes well apart from roads, indoor plumbing, eductaion democracy, yes, yes apart from all of that. Have you seen the film "Life of Brian" ? Anyway, go back and check the history of the times. They were ALL at it, empire building that is. That Mohammad was doing it somehow differently is not obvious to me. Things that makes u grateful to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). - Muslimah - 10-25-2003 Oh by the way, just to ease the tension here and fulfill my duty as a Muslim. I am not a new muslim, I am a born one who is 47 years old. So I have been one for that long. And if u spoke about any of the Prophets and Messengers PAPBU all of them the way u did about Prophet MOhamed PAPBUH we would have just acted the same way. we are commanded by Quran to fully respect and highly regard all of them. Also as part of our religion we study his biography in full. I would not think u will be interested, u already read but through your own sources which suits your pre determined judgement. Now if u want to stick around and just get info you r most welcome of course, but again read the rules. OK Muslimah Things that makes u grateful to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). - Guest - 10-27-2003 My Islamic sources are from the internet, mainly University of Southern California for Qu'ran and Mohamad's biography other Islamic sites such as this one, some anti islamic web sites, some athiest web sites and of course, Daniel Pipes and numerous other links interspersed over the WWW. Why am I here ? Just curiosity I suppose. I did read the rules and can honestly say I don't think I broke any rule. I notice you have not addressed my issue with a rather biggoted statement, namely number 8 7- He made us the best ppl on earth It is all well and good to celebrate your religion but I feel you do so at the expense of other cultures with statements such as these.
