Different foods of the Prophet (SAW) - Dan - 12-01-2003 Bismillah As salam alaikum I was listening to a lecture discussing how we are blessed in this time to see some of the secrets of the Qur'an and Sunnah being revealed. The Companions used to do as the prophet said solely because he said. We are now in a time where we do not only because the prophet said but because science endorses what has been revealed. I find it sad that our faith is not greater than their's was though. On a side note: Before I became muslim I had terrible allergies. I was on medication from the time that I was a small child until after I converted. Once I started washing out my nasal passages five times a day though I noticed that my allergies were not so bad. Now I have no greater problems than most people. I have recently seen in pharmacies "new" saline nasal sprays for cleaning out the nasal passage. Doctors even advice patients to use such sprays for allergies now. When will we wake up and realize that if we just follow Islam to the letter, we will be taken care of fully? jazakum Allah Khair As salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu Different foods of the Prophet (SAW) - Muslimah - 12-01-2003 as salam alykom Sobhan Allah, of course very true Dan, many things improve just by following sunnah. U know for example, that there is a hadeeth saying if u eat dates first thing in the morning before breakfast, u will be protected against poison or magic harm. When u tell people they answer what has dates got to do with poison and magic. But when Germans made researches on dates they revealed that they stabilize the hormonal system which is affected by both items. Usually magic gets the victim depressed. If u refer to Quran, Mariam was hoping to die while giving birth (she was depressed). When Allah commanded her to eat dates Sobhan Allah walhamdulelah |
