Just a small comment, there is a hadeeth by Tirmidhi which states the 99 names of Allah tala. And this is a weak hadeeth. Ibn Taymiyyah said no authentic hadith has been reported from the Prophet which specifies the 99 names of Allah. Majmu al Fatwa 22/482 Some people think that the names of Allah tala are restricted to 99 and this is not so. The ulema have differed on the number ie. Ibn Al-Arabi enumerates them in his book Ahkam al Quran and arrives at 146 names. He also mentions in his book al Amad and he lists 176 names. Ibn Hajar says that al Fakhr arRaazi has related from certain scholars that Allah has 4,000.00 names. However, he points out these numbers are just claims which need proof. Fath al Bari. But all agree that the names of Allah tala are not confined to 99. And some He tala described to us and some He tala kept to himself. Ibn Qayim said on this subject. That if a man was to say "here are 99 horses for jihad" that doesn't mean that he only has 99 horses.
