What...islam? - Yusrah - 07-03-2004 As salamu aleykum wr wb I'm a new user here, peace be upon you all! I hope I will be a good guest and y'all be good host. Keepme in ur duahs. : I finished writing my latest article which took me about a hour and 1/2. Plz , list your comments so that I might understand my qualities and errors contain within my writing. Take care all What... Islam? One thing we are surronded by is a modern world in which religion should have "no" influence in ones life. When a person is submitted to worshipping and sticks to the practices, we look at them in a different way. But it really depends on which religion. For example, a nun is respected by some as well as a rabbi du to the fact that they have giving up their desires to worship their God. But lets talk about Muslims, yes, Muslims. They aren't looked at as religious practicing people but rather, "extremist". One thing that does not make sense is the fact that when a woman, whether she be Christian, jew or anything els, stays home to help with the kids, she is a good person and is sacrficing her time but when a "Muslimah" stays home, she needs to be liberated. But from what? Hardship or is it religion? You think. Another thing thats racist is when a jew grows a beard, he is looked at as a practicing person but when a Muslim man posseses a beard, we have no chose but to mark him as extremist. In the past, we were thought to be weird people who's belief was abnormal, but we proved them wrong. With the scientifics facts that was found within the Holy Quran- the book Muslims call the word of God- we presented them reality in the best of forms. The Holy Quran is known as the Miracle of Miracles. How can such a book which was brought down 14 centuries ago have such knowledg that man has only descovered recently? The answer is simple and truthful, it is the litterit word of the Al-Mighty Creator, Allah. But one thing that is always bore in mind, is if this book that was proven to be the word of God by Muslims as well as non-Muslims, how is it that so many turn away from it? Well, I am no Creator but rather a creation of Allah (swt), however I might have an idea of the truth behind it. Islam is the most simplest religion indeed, but it is also complex. We says Islam is like an ocean. When a Muslim prays, the process seems a little bit too much. The movements, the words, and even the concentration you must posses renders life a little bit more hard. But no, it does not. In Islam, this world which is refered to as Dunya should have no value. We believe that man was put on this earth to be tested. We have obligations to fulfill but we have been given the free will. We can chose the right conduct of life or the wrong conduct in which we follow our own desires. Each choice has its own concequences, be they good or bad. People don't want to commit or surrender to the laws, attitude and conduct of life because of the rules which prevent its followers to follow some of their own desires which can be harmful and shameful to them. Such as driking, gambling, eating pork, have intimite relations with someone without being married to them and so on and so on. These acts are not just like any acts, each have their our bad concequences and bad concequences. Its funny how what is bidden for us is also beneficiel like fasting (Sawm) and praying Salat (obligatory prayer). Its been proven that fasting is beneficiel for ones spiritual life and soul and helps to control ones own desires. Salat eases a person after they have preformed a well done prayer in which devotion, love, fear, and humility as well as concentration is constant. So many things to do and so many things to refuse but trust me, it will be worth it at the end Another possible and logical reason is the way Islam is presented to people. What I mean is the image people portray to represent Islam. Unfortunatly, there are so many portraits but only one is the right one. There are so many groups who clame to be the "right followers". I follow the one which is known through out the earth and make sense 100%. That is I follow the Quran and the Sunnah. We are already aware of what the Quran is (the word of Allah, Glory be to Him), but what's the Sunnah? The Sunnah is what our Prophet, or Apostle did, prohibited or approved of. In other words its his life. We follow what he has told us and we must as it has been told in the Quran. La illaha illah la, Muhammadan rasululah. There are no other gods but Allah (swt) and Muhammad is His messenger (peace be upon him). Our Prophet has warned us of such a time in which there would be corruption. He told us that there would 73 rows of Muslims on the Day of Judgement in which only one would enter Paradise. Indeed we have reach that time and there are so many groups. But what did he say about that group who would enter Jannah? He ordered us to stick to the Quran and his way, yes the Sunnah. But even though more the 80% of the Muslims agree with the Quran and Sunnah being the sources of Islam,not so many are practicing. We are portraying such an image that many have comme to the conclusion that our beliefs are abnormal and untruthful. We see on TV the beheading of innocent non Muslims by people who say that they are Islam. Even though clarics, leaders and Imams are begging them not to do such acts, they refused. Like I said, so many groups but only one truthful. Its funny how the majority of "Muslims" who go on TV are giving the opposit reality of Islam. But I think that they are being broadcast on TV by the kafirs who know they will give a bad Image to Islam. But one thing that can be assured is that through all these accusations, lies and blasphemist tales of Islam, Islam is the world most fastest growing religion. There are so many other possible reason behind people rejecting Islam, but I will not list for I might be wrong and I have already stated my 2 most logical reason for the lack of people accepting Islam. I can not say that I'm right or wrong. I concider that lack of Muslims one of the great wonders of the world. Hey, maybe it will be revealed on the day all things will be revealed. Until then, I guess just have to wait and continue to answer the questions of the kafirs who say What... Islam?
