This incident occurred in the Sacred Masjid (Makka - Muslimah - 04-12-2005

Bismillah

as salam alykom

I got this from another board

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A group of people entered the Sacred Masjid (Makkah) just before the salaah and amongst them there was man who’s face does not appear from a far distance. None of the them were Muhar’eman (i.e. they never came for hajj or umrah etc..), But as if they came for the salaah, and only the salaah. As they entered into the circulating point, they advanced for an isolated place from the Kaabah and some of them sat whereas others carried out the performance of the Sunnah prayer.

After a short while, another group of people entered the Sacred Masjid and amongst them there was a woman who was wearing niqaab, hence you could not see any part of her. Thus this group proceeds to the same place that the former group was and it happened that they left the women next to the man who came with the first group!

It was somewhat obviously unusual that this man was very close to this woman, but even that did not raise the alarm of those who witnessed this incident. Nothing too out of the ordinary appeared from it, but Allah knows that they were too close to each others. But as soon the adhaan was proclaimed, they never raised like the rest of the people did to pray!

But once again, no one had denounced this strange scene. Indeed, maybe the women may come to pass to some weakness etc.. so that they are excused from performing the salaah. But what excuse has the man have? And why did they remain so close to each other without people raising their dissatisfaction? Why didn’t their parents take notice of them? Why didn’t the authoritarian of the Sacred Masjid prohibit them from remaining close to each other when the time of salaah started?

Many questions played in my mind…

I asked myself: What if I was in the place of that man? What would I’ve done?

I asked myself: Imagine what was the feeling of this man considering that everyone was praying while he was just in his place alongside a woman?

But the answer was in one word….

The word that troubled the believers and the righteous…

It is the decree which every significant person is not so, compare to it….

And each and every tightness is opened, compare to it…

It is…DEATH !

Allahu ta’ala says in Sûrat Al-‘Ankabût (The Spider) 29: verse 57 {Everyone shall taste death} also Allahu ta’ala says in Sûrat Al-Qiyâmah (The Resurrection) 75: verse 26-30 {Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), And it will be said: "Who can cure him (and save him from death)?" And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of parting (death); And one leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded). The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allâh)!}.

Umar ibn Abdulazeez (ra) used to advice a person called 3nbasa, so he said to him, “O 3nbasa: Remember more often the remembrance of death, for the reason been that if you do remember it often then no-matter how hardship matters you will face but it will open for you and turn to ease. And do not be a cheerful person then all of the sudden you remember death subsequently turn to a miserable person”.

Back to the story, the two people were dead... the masses never saw nothing except two funerals, you can’t see nothing of them but their shrouds (the two pieces of clothing that covers the deceased).

Both were brought carried on the shoulders, and they were put side by side in preparation of the salaatu janaaza upon them, and for this reason they did not move a living (no one voiced their disgust etc..), this particular scene was not out of the ordinary since it has been repeating for ever now (many people have passed away peacefully in the Sacred Masjid).

The salaah upon the deceased , may Allah have mercy upon all said the (Imaam)

Every single person got up for these two person and stood up the standing of one (i.e. they all stood up full of emotion at the same time), the praise (tasbih) was calmed, and the Sunnah salaah was postponed until the people finishes the funeral prayer.

Allahu Akbar!

The Imaam made the Takbeer and started by reading al-Fatiha .

Imagine were they on the Straight Way? The Way of those on whom Allah have bestowed His Grace, not (the way) of those who earned His Anger, nor of those who went astray? We beseech the Mercy of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

Allahu Akbar!

O Allah! send prayers on Muhammad, and on the family of Muhammad, as you sent prayers on Ibraaheem and on the family of Ibraaheem. Imagine Imagine if they were on the path of Muhammad, Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and his Sunnah?

Allahu ta’ala says in : Sûrat Al-Ahzâb (The Confederates) 33: verse 21 {Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad Õáì Çááå Úáíå æÓáã) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day, and remembers Allâh much }.

Allahu Akbar
