Hi everyone:
I'm preparing a small powerpoint presentation on Islam, and would like to incorporate some images where possible.
Does anyone here know where or if I might find some downloadable portraits or illustrations of some of the more prominent early Muslim leaders (e.g. Muhammad, Abu Bakr, Uthman, etc.), provided they exist?
I realize that Islam in general doesn't look favorably on certain forms of illustration that may imply idolatry, although it is certainly not my intention to have things lead to that.
I've done some searches with power engines and haven't come up with much.

Such images don't exist. I have seen a documentary, which showed that the artists during the time of the Prophet (SAW) were not allowed to show the faces of the Prophet or any of the Caliphs. If anyone drew or painted them, the painting was destroyed, or the faces were painted over.

... of course quality is more important... I was thinking of the quality of the forum... with every new comment, the quality of the forum increases, and it gets sooooooooo much better. And why shouldn't it? We are talking about ISLAM here! And what's better quality than Islam, the Deen of Allah? Right? [img]style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif[/img]
