Assalam allikum brothers and sisters,
I was wondering if you could help me out. There is a charity called World Vision where you can sponser a child, who is in Africa or an undeveloped country. The money that you give them gives them food, shealter and schooling. But the thing is that it is a Christian organisation and they give out bibles. They have also a missionary where they give bibles out. So I don't want to give to this charity if they are spreading the word of christianty.
Do you know of any Muslim charities I can give to. Dosn't have to be the same as the above. But I rather give charity to a Muslim organisation that would spread Islamic views to people. So I live in Australia, does any one know of any good charities.

If i were you i would be indifferent to what religous affilation the group has, as long as it is reliable and the money goes where they say it is going [img]style_emoticons/default/wink.gif[/img]

U may also check yusuf Islam web site I am sure he has a charity.
I know of some more I will check them out for u but meanwhile these would be enough
alfredo I know what u mean, but we can not sponser efforts which stress religious activities, we can not pay money for people to take others astray.

And I agree with sister Muslimah, to be careful who we want to support when it concerns giving aid.
The movement of Christian Evangelism is very active today in several parts of the world, and they are out to do what they can to give Islam a bad look and taste.
We cannot HELP them to destroy ourselves.

I might seem off topic but I am not.
Although Egypt is supposed to be a Muslim country yet there is a christian minority living here.
When Islam came to Egypt thru the call for rescue from chrisitians, Muslims never oppressed any one to join Islam. But rather Jizyah was enforced to compensate for providing protection to the christians in face of any outsider aggression. They didnt want to join in war.
Any way, now they go to poor districts in Egypt and poor villages, give out money to people to convert them. I mean la hawla wala qowata ila billah.
And when a christian willingly joins they make a big fuss, demostrate and even like take shields in cathedrals coming up with weird stories for the person in question to be handed back to them. And when the revert person is handed by the authorities. La ilaha ila Allah for what they face.
It is a vicious war on Islam
We dont need to pay people to join while they do this.
any way alliex Insh a Allah also pray Istikharah before sending money. Insh a Allah both sources are good. Just pray Istikhara in following the sunnah
