Medical - arclight - 03-18-2006 Can muslims give blood, have organ transplants etc. ? I know some religions don't allow this, even some christian groups don't. Medical - wel_mel_2 - 03-20-2006 Bismillah: Quote:Can muslims give blood, have organ transplants etc. ? Three conditions arise. One, it should not be damaging for the donor. If a donor dies just by donating his organ, in that case it’s Haram or not allowed. Second condition is different. A person can live on one kidney. If I donate one kidney and the other person survives, both of us are saved. Then the third point is that you cannot donate your organs for the cause of money. If these conditions are fulfilled, then organ transplant can be done. and Allah knows best. salam Wael Medical - arclight - 03-22-2006 So pretty much the same as British law then? Obviously when you start mixing medicine an religion you get the conflict of maybe going against Allahs will etc; Along similar lines, how do most muslims percieve these so called 'near death' experiences, the bright tunnel of light an all that? Do you believe it really is the soul seeing heaven, or just the human mind trying to fill in the blank spaces left by the trauma? |
