I thought I may have seen it on mentioned on here, but wasn't sure if I was misremembering (my memory isn't what it used to be :wacko:)
I was working out there the other week, and went down Harehills Lane. Is there more than one purpose built mosque in Leeds? I'm sure I've seen pictures of a mosque in Leeds which looked somewhat different to that, sort of bigger. Again it might be my memory playing up, and getting confused with a mosque somewhere else.

From what I see that this thread is getting somewhat personal, I understand that u based your assumption on info that Suhail did post himself, however, it is still not recommended to discuss personal info including areas where one live on the Internet.

In leeds there is one purpose built Masjid which is the Grand mosque on Harehills Lane , i think u should have seen the pics for that mosque , there is also another mosque quite close to there called the Islamic Academy which has recently got renovated and also looks pretty new and nice but its not purpose built . ( u may have seen that mosque if u were driving past)
By the way i dont live anyway near Harehills Lane(that place is a dump sometimes) i live atleast 15 miles from Leeds where we have the first mosque in Europe (1950's) , the first purpose built Mosque in Uk , and the first purpose built Madressa (islamic school ) in Europe all of this in a small Town .

The one I saw was definetly a purpose built mosque. It certainly stands out from the usual english architecture :)

Muslimah, don't worry, Leeds is a pretty damned big place. I wouldn't ask, or expect, anyone to give specific details like that away.
