Mash a Allah jazaki Allah khairan for sharing this, I heard of Khalid yaseen, but never thought he was a revert. naseeha told me that khadija attended his lecture in Trinidad two weeks ago when about I think (not sure) 5 people took shahada. Allah u Akbar. May Allah Increase him in knowledge.

Alhamdulilah I've had the honour to meet Brother Khalid Yasin in Person last year. I got to listen to him from the 3rd row in Our University Hall. Thousands of People entered into Islam from First Hand Dawah by Khalid over the years that he's been practising Dawah. When he came to our Mosque, we asked him how he became a Muslim. And he said: "Nothing really extraordinary happened, I didnt see a light coming from the sky or anything. A Man called El Malik El Shabazz (aka) Malcolm X, gave me Dawah and thats how my Journey to Islam began".

Alhamdulilah that Allah guided you to Islam. There is a magnificent Reward for the one who gives Dawah and guides someone to Islam. May Allah send blessings upon his soul, and accept his death as a Martyr, he surely died doing that which Allah loves, Speaking the truth. It cost him his Life.
I really suggest that you Brothers and Sisters purchase Khalid Yasins Purpose of Life Collection DVDS. I have all of them! You will learn sooo much.

Just a note on the bolded part, the hadeeth that brings glad tidings about the reward of one who is a cause of someone else's guidance, actually is not restricted on bringing people to Islam.
The hadeeth say:
"“Sahl bin Sa`d (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said on the day of the Khaibar Battle, "I will give this banner to a person at whose hands Allah will grant victory; a man who loves Allah and His Messenger (PBUH), and Allah and His Messenger love him also. The people spent the night thinking as to whom it would be given. When it was morning, the people hastened to Messenger of Allah (PBUH). Every one of them was hoping that the banner would be given to him. He (the Prophet (PBUH)) asked, "Where is `Ali bin Abu Talib?'' They said: "O Messenger of Allah! His eyes are sore.
'' He (PBUH) then sent for him and when he came, Messenger of Allah (PBUH) applied his saliva to his eyes and supplicated. `Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) recovered as if he had no ailment at all. He (PBUH) conferred upon him the banner. `Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) said``O Messenger of Allah, shall I fight against them until they are like us?'' Thereupon he (the Prophet (PBUH)) said, "Advance cautiously until you reach their open places; thereafter, invite them to Islam and inform them what is obligatory for them from the Rights of Allah, for, by Allah, <b>if Allah guides even one person through you that is better for you than possessing a whole lot of red camels
".</b>
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
The underlined part is the part that talks about the reward, as u can see, it says Allah Guides even one person. Guidance here is not restricted only on bringing a non muslim to islam. Even a Muslim who went astray, or not praticing if comes back to Islam thru the dawa effort of another will be subject to the same reward. Allah Al Was`a Alkareem always expands the chances of reward.
