If Jesus was a prophet #2 - Curious Christian - 07-23-2006
I understand that many of you believe that Jesus was a prophet of Allah and that his words and teachings were corrupted and the version we have of Christ in the bible (Injel) isn't an accurate depiction of his ministry.
So...my question is this.
If Jesus was a prophet of Allah then why did Allah allow men (Christians) to twist his words and teachings as Muslims claim? Would Allah hold up Jesus teachings as a prophet like he did Mohammeds? Also, since Muslims believe that Jesus was born of a virgin and ascended into heaven, he must have been a special prophet since he was the only prophet who was born of a virgin right?
So, why did Allah allow the corruption of his words to happen?
Did Allah know that this was about to happen?

you must first know that the Bible itself admits that it is a corrupted Book:
"`How can you say, "We [the Jews] are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," <b>when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?'</b> (Jeremiah 8:8)"
The Revised Standard Version makes even clearer: "How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us'? <b>But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie.</b> ( Jeremiah 8:8)"
In either translation, we clearly see that the Jews had so much corrupted the Bible with their man-made cultural laws, that they had turned the Bible into a lie! See Also Deuteronomy 31:25-29 where Moses peace be upon him predicted the corruption/tampering of the Law (Bible) after his death. The Book of Moses predicted that the Law (Bible) will get corrupted. The Book of Jeremiah which came approximately<b> 826 years after did indeed confirm this corruption</b>
The wisdom is obvious. This is what happens to you when you stray away from the Path of GOD Almighty. <b>You will end up with many Bibles with many different and contradicting sects</b>. When the Jews and the Christians corrupted the Bible and caused for the Pure Message of Allah Almighty to be lost forever, <b>He the Almighty sent the Noble Quran and Islam to bring back the Truth to Mankind. </b> so we do not need the previous teaching anyway, because it was included in the Qur'an and the teaching of the last prophet pbuh.
and yes of course Allah knew about what happend regarding the Bible, but He promised to preserve the Qur'an from any corruption.

All the books that Allah sent prior to Islam (Torah, Bible..etc) He entrusted its scholars to protect it.
Allah said in the Quran -translation of the meaning-:
(Verily, We did send down the Taurât (Torah) [to Mûsa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allâh's Will, judged the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged the Jews by the Taurât (Torah) after those Prophets] <b>for to them
was entrusted the protection of Allâh's Book</b>, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price.) [5:44]
But when they didn't protect the book, and some of them corrupted it, Allah sent the last message to mankind and promised to protect it Himself so it will be a guidance to mankind until the day of Judgement.
Allah said -translation of the meaning-:
(Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'ân) and surely, <b>We
will guard it (from corruption)</b>)[15:9]

Disopying Allah is a type of twisting his words.
Misunderstanding Allah words is a type of twising Allah words.
So we can say that Allah allow men to twist his words,but He (swt) pormised those men with
great punishment .
Allah hold the Quran from any corruption because the Quran is the last message to the people.
Of course,Allah know about the corruption of the Bible before its happening ,and following the
Bible with the Quran is keeping Allah words from corruption.
In islam Allah and his messengers ask all muslims not to differentiate between the prophets.
Allah supported his prophets with miracles, borning of a virgin is one of these miracles.
Finally,Yes Adam was a prophet.
