New Book - Dan - 07-26-2006

Bismillah

There is a new book out called "Misquoting Jesus" by Ehrman that examines the ancient texts of Christianity.

This man started his education as a born again Christian (a "real" Christian as many born agains will say). He learned Greek and Hebrew in order to show others how powerful and truthful the scriptures were. His studies are interesting.

I encourage all to read it.

"over 90% of the NT is rather well established in regard to its original text, and none of the remaining 10% provides us with data that could lead to any shocking revisions of the Christian credo or doctrine"

I don't know. For me, would not a text from God be 100%? Even if it is "just" small details.

That doesn't mean that the other 10% isn't original...just not as established.

How ever you want to define that 10%.
