Allegiance to Allah and Islam - NaSra - 11-17-2006 Asalamalaikum Insha'Allah try to watch this documentary :thumb: about "Allegiance to Britian or Islam" answered by British Muslims. It's really nice. Esp when you see the Irish Brother who says I'm a Muslim my allegiance is to Islam and not to Britian! It addresses how British culture contradicts with Islam, like placing the parents in "rest homes" where old people are thrown in because their children WONT take care of them. Our Allegiance is to ALLAH and ISLAM alone! ALLAHU AKBAR http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=20...idfeed&hl=en-GB Allegiance to Allah and Islam - reepicheep - 11-18-2006 Quote:A visit to an old people’s home in Makkah reveals the plight of the aged, who at the hour of their need have been forced by their children to live the rest of their days in a pitiful way. For many elderly people, an old people’s home is a death sentence handed to them by their children. Suffering from horrid illnesses, for many the thought of being abandoned by their families, and the prospect of being forgotten by society is a devastating experience... Abandoned by Family and Forgotten by Society - Arab News newspaper, Sept 2006 Quote:Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove that splinter from your eye,' while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye. Matthew 7:1-5 Allegiance to Allah and Islam - radiyah - 11-19-2006 Bismillah Thanku reepi for putting this link, but I would like to tell u and repeat what we always say, that if some muslims do such actions it does not mean that it is from islam. It means they are bad muslims and are not following Allah's order. and such places are recently formed in our arab and islamic world following the west example, because people are starting to lose their faith and following islamic rules. Many of those who threw their parents or mis treated them, rest asure that their children will treat them as such, or they will have a bad ending. Hope u will start deffrinciating between muslim acts and true islam teachings. Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem: "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour "(Al-Isra 17:23) "And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.". (Al-Isra 17:24) "Worship Allâh and join none with Him in worship, and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masâkin (the poor), the neighbour who is near of kin, the neighbour who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allâh does not like such as are proud and boastful;" (An-Nisa 4:36) "And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination." (Luqman 31:14) "And We have enjoined on man to be good and dutiful to his parents, but if they strive to make you join with Me (in worship) anything (as a partner) of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do." (Al-'Ankabut 29:8) "And (remember) when We took a covenant from the Children of Israel, (saying): Worship none but Allâh (Alone) and be dutiful and good to parents, and to kindred, and to orphans and Al-Masâkîn (the poor), [Tafsir At-Tabarî, Vol. 10, Page 158 (Verse 9:60)] and speak good to people [i.e. enjoin righteousness and forbid evil, and say the truth about Muhammad Peace be upon him ], and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakât. Then you slid back, except a few of you, while you are backsliders." (Tafsir Al-Qurtubî, Vol. 2, Page 392). (Al-Baqarah 2:83) After the underlined, I think that ISLAM is innocent from bad treatment for parents. Islam orders us to be good to our parents even if they are non muslims, u do not ignore a full history of good treatment to parents during the Prophet's era and his companions, and then shed the light on what is the non practicing muslims are doing nowadays. Peace Allegiance to Allah and Islam - Suhail - 11-19-2006 Assalamualaikum I believe this documentary is a waste of time , there is no "identity crisis" , "Allegiance to Britian or Islam" , Nationality and religion r 2 different things...... is like saying im i a "male" first or a "muslim" , im both u cant choose one or the other , "Britain or Islam" bcoz there is no conflict as they r 2 diffrent things , if i had dual citizenship choice between britain or france , then Obvioulsy i can choose coz its choice between 2 similar things nation Allegiance to Allah and Islam - Muslimah - 11-20-2006 Bismillah as salam alykom I think I understand what you are saying Suhail, but may be the point that needs to be stressed here, is for example when people vow loyalty to the flag, to the country per se. You know. This is when it becomes serious, since we cannt vow loyalty to anyone/thing except to Allah. Allegiance to Allah and Islam - NaSra - 11-28-2006 Quote:Assalamualaikum I disagree, but again everyone is entitled to their opinion. I know a Sister who started practising her Islam just because of watching that documentary and you are calling it a waste of time. It doesn't matter really. :D |
