Thank you for contacting us.

None of our products contain ethyl alcohol, the alcohol used in intoxicating liqueurs. We do however use iso-propyl alcohol as a solvent in some of our flavourings for Skittles, Starburst, Tunes and Lockets. This solvent is widely used in the food industry, and is different to the alcohol used in beverages. As iso-propyl is volatile, the majority of it is lost during manufacturing.

Please find below, a list of current Mars UK products that are suitable for a vegetarian diet.

We have committed that Mars UK will ensure that a selection of favourite brands, including Mars bars, Snickers bars, Galaxy and Maltesers, will be suitable for vegetarians in the near future.

All our products carry best before dates. Those with a best before date, on or after that shown below, are suitable for vegetarians. We have also provided some frequently asked questions and answers on our confectionary products.
