Status of mankind upon the stupors of death - Muslimah - 02-09-2009
Narrated under the authority of Baraa Bin A`zab that he said: we went out with Rasullah salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam to attend a funeral of an Ansari man. We ended up at the grave and the man was not yet buried in the Lahd (Islamic grave). Rasullah salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam sat down and we all took our places around him, all in a very quite and still position just as if birds are standing over our heads and we are concerned to retain them. In his hand, he had a stick and was digging into earth. He raised his head up and said two or three times, seek refuge to Allah from the torments of grave. He continued, in case the position of the believing devotee who is about to leave this world and closer to the Day After, angles would descend to him from sky, having white faces, their faces is similar to sun, carrying a shroud from the shrouds of Jannah, and Hunut (Ziziphus mixed with Camphor) from the Hunut of Jannah and they take their sitting position on a close distance from him. Then the angle of death peace be upon him comes and sits next to his head and say: O you good Nafs (soul) come out to forgiveness and satisfaction of Allah. Rasullah said, it comes out flowing just like drop would flow out of a drinking container. The angle takes it, and as soon as he takes it, they do not let it in his hand for a glimpse of an eye, but they rather take it and place it into this shroud and Hunut. Very pleasant scent like the best of fragrances of Musk available on earth would radiate from it. He continued they ascend with it and they will not pass by any, (he meant by a group of angles), unless this group would say, what is this good soul, the carrying group answer xyz the son of xyz calling him with the best of his names used in Dunia until they end up to the lowest sky. They would request it to be opened, it opens up to them, and all the dwellers of each sky would send him away to the next sky till he ends up to the seventh. Allah may He be Glorified says write down the record of my devotee in Illiyyun (supremacy) and take him back to earth, of it I Created you and to it I return you and from it I take you again. Rasullah said, his soul is returned into his body. Two angels would come and place him in a sitting position and ask him, who is your Rub (Lord), he would reply my Rub is Allah, they ask what is your Deen, he would say my Deen is Al Islam, they ask him who is this man who was sent to you, he would say he is Rasullah salla Allah a`lhyee was sallam, they ask, what is your knowledge, he would say, I read the book of Allah, and had faith with it and believed. A caller from sky would call, my devotee spoke the truth, make for him a carpet from Jannah, prepare for him a garment from Jannah, and for him open a gate to Jannah. He continued he receives from its kind breeze and fragrance and his grave will expand to the distance of where his sight may end. He said and to him shall come a good looking man, well dressed and of good smell saying I give you glad tiding with what pleases you, this is your day the one that you have been promised. The man would say, who are you as your face is one that brings goodness, he replies I am your good deed, so he say O Rubi Command for establishing the Hour so that I would not return back to my family and money. He said and the kafir servant when about to leave this Dunia and come closer to the hereafter, black faced angles would descend for him from sky with covers from Juhannum, they sit next him on a distance of where his sight ends. Then the angle of death would come and sit next to his head, and say O evil soul come out to Allah's displeasure and anger. He said the soul then spreads around his body, he pulls it off like pulling throne from wet wool (veins and nerves are broken during the pull) and he takes it. But the angles would not let it be in his hand for a glimpse, they take it and place it in those covers (musuh), the worst odor might be on earth similar to the odor of rotten bodies comes out. They ascend in the company of the soul, and they never pass by a group of angles unless they ask who is this evil soul, they reply xyz son of xyz calling him with the worst names he used to be called with in Dunia, until he ends up to the lowest sky, they request for opening, but he is denied. At this point Rasullah salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam recited: "for them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle (which is impossible) ".
Allah may He be Glorified Say write down his record in Sijjeen in the lowest land, and his soul is harshly thrown down. Then he recited: "and whoever assigns partners to Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place."
His soul is inserted back to his body, and two angles would come and place him in a sitting position. They ask him who is your Rub, he would say huh, huh, I do not know, they ask him what is your Deen, he replies huh, huh, I do not know, they say who is this man who was sent to you, he replies huh, huh, I do not know. A caller from sky would call saying, he lied, carpet his place for him from hell fire and open to him a gate from hell so that he receives from its heat and harmful wind, and tighten his grave till his bones are crushed. A terrible looking man comes to him badly dressed, and sending terrible odor telling him I bring to you of the news that would upset you, this is your day that you were promised, the dead person asks who are you, your face is one that brings bad news and evil, he replies I am your bad deed, so he says O Rubi do not establish the hour.
