Muslims deeply respect Jesus (ʿĪsā, peace be upon him).
They believe he was one of the greatest prophets sent by Allah, born miraculously to the Virgin Mary, performed miracles by God's permission, and called people to worship the One God.
However, Muslims do not believe that Jesus is God or the son of God.
They also believe that Allah saved him from crucifixion and that Jesus will return before the end of time.
Jesus is mentioned in the Qur'an many times and is honored by Muslims throughout the world.
