Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 06-10-2004 On the authority of Mu`adh (may Allah be pleased with him) who reported that the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took hold of his hand and said: O Mu`adh! By God, I love you, and I advise you: You should never abandon reciting after every prayer: Allah, assist me in remembering you and being grateful to you and performing your worship in an excellent manner. Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 06-26-2004 Abu Bakrah (Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had said: When two Muslims combat each other with the sword, the killed and the killer both are doomed to Hell. I said: Messenger of Allah! As to the one who kills it is understandable, but what about the killed? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: The other longed to murder his opponent. (Agreed upon) ________________________________________ Lessons deduced: - This warns Muslims against fighting each others because this incurs Allah's wrath. - The warning in this hadith is given to the killer and the killed if they have been fighting with no legal excuse. Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 06-30-2004 Anas (Allah is pleased with him) reported that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The greatness of reward is accompanied by the greatness of distress. If Allah the Exalted loves people, He solely afflicts them with trials. One who is content with that (trial), all the consent is for him, and one who is annoyed with, all wraths is for him. Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 07-02-2004 Mu`adh bin Anas (Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had said: The one who suppresses anger in spite of possessing the power to give effect to his anger, will be called out by Allah, the Exalted to the forefront of the creatures on the Resurrection Day and will be put to option about any pure-eyed virgin, he will like. (Reported by Al-Tirmidhi) ________________________________________ Lessons deduced: - One should restrain his anger. - Forgiving others while having the ability to retaliate entails a great reward. - Strength and resolution appear when one maintains self-restraint in provocative and annoying situations. Lessons deduced - Dan - 07-03-2004 Bismillah As salam alaikum Jazak Allah for this reminder. Giving into the affects of anger can lead to many sins. May Allah Help us all control our anger. As salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 07-03-2004 Wa Alikum As-salaam wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatu, Wa Eyakum brother. This Hadith confirms the choices that Allah (SWT) have given the believers in the Quran, here they are: Ashoura [36] Whatever ye are given (here) is (but) a convenience of this Life: but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting: (it is) for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord; [37] Those who avoid the greater crimes and shameful deeds, and, when they are angry even then forgive; [38] Those who hearken to their Lord, and establish regular prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; [39] And those who, when an oppressive wrong is inflicted on them, (are not cowed but) help and defend themselves. [40] The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for (Allah) loveth not those who do wrong. [41] But indeed if any do help and defend themselves after a wrong (done) to them, against such there is no cause of blame. [42] The blame is only against those who oppress men with wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice: for such there will be a Penalty grievous. [43] But indeed if any show patience and forgive, that would truly be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs. [44] For any whom Allah leaves astray, there is no protector thereafter. And thou wilt see the wrong-doers, when in sight of the Penalty, say: "Is there any way (to effect) a return?" As- you can see in Ayah 37, Allah (SWT) said that when they are angry they forgive. In Ayah 39, he (SWT) also describes them that they stand up firm when attacked and defend themsleves. In Ayah 40, he (SWT) gives the right to respond back to an injury with an equal one, but also reminds them that whomever fogives, then his reward is up to Allah (SWT). In Ayah 41, he (SWT) confirms the right to defend yourself and assures you that there is no blame on you when you do so. In Ayah 42, he (SWT) explains to us who is to blamed and thier punishment. In Ayah 43, he (SWT) tells us that being patient and forgiving is an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs. In Ayah 44, Allah (SWT) tells us that he (SWT) is our protector and whomever he (SWT) leaves astray, there is no protector for them. I usually practice all those choices, depends on the situation. Al-Hamdu ll'Allah, Allah (SWT) has given me enough knowledge and strength to jump to defend Allah (SWT), the Prophet (SAAWS) and his family, Islam and the women of Islam when they come under attack and I don't care what and who thinks of me when I do so. Al-Hamdu ll'Allah, when it comes to some one attacking me usually I don't care and just be patient and let them. Al-Hajj [60] That (is so). And if one has retaliated to no greater extent than the injury he received, and is again set upon inordinately, Allah will help him: for Allah is One that blots out (sins) and forgives (again and again). Mohammad [7] O ye who believe! If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly. Hope you understand your brother better after knowing this. Your brother in Allah. As-salaam Alikum. Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 07-04-2004 `Abdullah bin Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) observed: I asked Allah's Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Which deed was the best. He (the Holy Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: Prayer at its appointed hour. I (again) said: Then what? He said: Kindness to the parents. I (again) said: Then what? He replied: Jihad in the cause of Allah. (Agreed-upon) ________________________________________ Lessons deduced: 1- Prayer is the right due to Allah on His servants, second in rank only after declaring the two testimonies (that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah). 2- The importance of treating parents kindly, an obligation which was mentioned in the Hadith along with Prayer and Jihad. 3- Jihad is the greatest kind of sacrifice on can give, as it includes the right of Allah and that of people. Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 07-05-2004 Al-Hasan bin `Ali (Allah be pleased with them) narrated that he remembered these words from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Abandon what appears doubtful to you, and adhere to that which is not doubtful for truth is peace of mind and falsehood is doubt. (Reported by Al-Tirmidhi) ________________________________________ Lessons deduced: - People should avoid dubious things and do only what is clearly lawful. Lessons deduced - Abunuran - 07-06-2004 Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah feels enthusiasm at (the attitude) of his bondsmen (it is becoming to Him) and the enthusiasm of Allah is excited on seeing a man committing such (bad) deeds which are unlawful. The first trial of the Banu Isra'il was through women.
