Importance Of Beard - NaSra - 10-09-2004 Quote: These are good quotes intuition? Yep I found them funny anya Importance Of Beard - Anyabwile - 10-09-2004 Quote:I think Brothers should have their beards, everyone is busy pointing fingers at the sisters and brothers walk around without their beards. I don't point fingers at no one, only Allah can judge. But yes i know what you mean about the double standards. Women will say "that's just men for you" though i guess. I could never ask my wife to cover if i didn't have a beard, i never would. Those who do should never forget Allah is with them looking, and husbands shouldnt get Angry at wives. Anger is not good. But come on tho..give the rest of us Muslim men a break will ya, we aint all bad. The woman is all Islam teaches this. Quote:And have you all also noticed how obvious it is to tell which one is a muslim from a muslim and a nonmuslim men who both have beards? You've made me feel real paranoid with this how can you tell who is true muslim if they both have beards? Does one comb his differently for the other? Or one has plats in it? What?? Let a brother know! Importance Of Beard - umm Zachariah - 10-09-2004 Assalamu aleikum sister Intuition, You have a good point there ''I think Brothers should have their beards, everyone is busy pointing fingers at the sisters and brothers walk around without their beards.'' Ok I will not be so drastic as to say everyone, but I see your point, pointing fingers... But it is a good thought though, that we sisters take responsibility to our dresscode and our brothers as well. And if we sisters take on our hijab which is Fard, and our brothers will grow a nice and tidy bear which is Sunnah. Then EVERYONE that is NOT a Muslim can recognize us as pious Muslims dedicated to our faith and following our beliefs. (Maybe they will not realize that at first sight, but eventually inshaAllah) Even if that in some societies is very difficult, inshaAllah we will get the strength and reward from Allah, SWT, for doing so. Wasalam your sister in faith Importance Of Beard - NaSra - 10-09-2004 Quote: Quote:But come on tho..give the rest of us Muslim men a break will ya, we aint all bad. I didn't mean all muslim men are like that, just some. I didn't mean to generalize. We know that our Brothers are striving to be the best they can be (May Allah assist them alwasys ameen). Let a brother know! lol no anya it has nothing to do with the way they comb it or anything like that I just can tell, but before i go into more detail on how I can tell, are there any other brothers and sisters out there who can tell too? Importance Of Beard - NaSra - 10-09-2004 Quote: Assalamu aleikum sister Intuition, Walaykuma salam UmmZachariah I agree with all the points you made, and I take back the word "everyone". I didn't mean to say that everyone points fingers at sisters. It just came out that way, FeeAmanaAllah Importance Of Beard - radiyah - 10-10-2004 Quote:You've made me feel real paranoid with this how can you tell who is true muslim if they both have beards? True muslims, who have deep faith and fear no 1 but Allah, and those who are stron in their eman, all this characteristic will show on their faces as Allah Subhanahu Wa t'ala described them in Quran: Bismillah Al-Rahma Al-Raheem: 29. Muhammad () is the Messenger of Allâh, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allâh and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurât (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allâh has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islâmic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise). Also a humble muslim always lowers his gaze, and a smile should always be on his face, because our beloved Prophet always used to smile even in the most serious moments, because he had strong faith in Allah Subhanahu Wa T'ala. So we should be like him also, and follow his path, right for each smile u get one good deed(hasana), and one hasana equals 10 hasana, and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will increase more to whom He Pleases. Wasalam 'alaykom Importance Of Beard - Dan - 10-11-2004 Bismillah As Salam alaikum Just a side note. Rasul-ullah did not trim his beard after umrah or hajj. It was Abdullah ibn Umar who used to do this. The Prophet's beard almost reached his navel. As Salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu Importance Of Beard - lifutushi - 10-11-2004 Assalamu'alaykum, some notes about tidy and clean beard: "The Messenger of Allah was in the mosque, when a man with unkempt hair and an untidy beard came in. The Prophet (saas) pointed to him, as if indicating to him that he should tidy up his hair and beard. The man went and did so, then returned. The Prophet (saas) said, 'Is this not better than that any one of you should come with unkempt hair?'" (Imam Malik's Muwatta, Volume 2, Number 949) |
