Why I Am Never Going Back To America - MichelleSeeking - 07-15-2003 "I can't hide that my tax dollars pay Israeli settlers $10,000 a year, per family member, to occupy Palestine and to kill the Ummah I profess to be a part of." Whoa! What is this about?????? Can someone enlighten me with true facts? I've heard rumors about the Palistinians being oppressed by Israel but that's about all I know. Thank you, Michelle, an American citizen [/i] Why I Am Never Going Back To America - Suhail - 07-15-2003 a.s.w.k dont worry the prophet made a dua in which he asked that make sure that there is no mass slaughter or war in which his WHOLE ! ummah is anialated (not sure about spelling)...............the dua was granted ..what ever happens the ummah will remain ! [/b:b8cb9e13fd] Quote:Starting with fiscal year 1987, Israel annually received $1.2 billion in all grant economic aid and $1.8 billion in all grant military assistance. In 1998, Israel offered to voluntarily reduce its dependence on U.S. economic aid. According to an agreement reached with the Clinton Administration and Congress, the $1.2 billion economic aid package will be reduced by $120 million each year so that it will be phased out in ten years. Half of the annual savings in economic assistance each year ($60 million) will be added to Israel's military aid package in recognition of its increased security needs. In 1999, Israel received $1.08 billion in economic aid and $1.86 billion in military aid. In 2000, economic aid is scheduled to be reduced to $949.1 million and military aid will increase to $1.92 billion. [/quote:b8cb9e13fd][b:b8cb9e13fd]"There is no such thing as a Palestinian people... It is not as if we came and threw them out and took their country. They didn't exist." -- Golda Meir Statement to The Sunday Times, 15 June, 1969. Why would it be just to force your religious beliefs on us? *In regards to the sexual education in school. Forget not that America was founded by bible thumping Protestants who dispised all the same things muslims do. However, after centuries of experience, we realized that if two 16 year olds are going to have sex, they're going to have sex. It is now a matter of making sure they do not harm themselves in the process. *There is a huge misconception in the muslim community that non-muslim Americans just sit around and blissfully destroy the middle-east and fund Isreal all the live long day. Not true. Many Americans disagree with the foreign policy inacted by the President, but imagine this. Think of how hard it is to overthrow the Saudi Arabian or Iranian government internally. Now imagine the United States, a country with the most lethal military ever known to man. A military that has killed over 100,000 Japanese instantly and can destroy any country on the planet. Do you really believe the American people can simply decide to just stop obeying them? This is why were use our Deomcratic Republic to our favor. We vote, picket, and march against the government. Changing U.S. foreign policy isn't exactly a cake walk. Why I Am Never Going Back To America - Whisper - 07-15-2003 True, Look at Tony Blair, Bush is having it hard at the moment but poor Tony Blair, he is really taking a hammering, that's what is great about Democracy in general, no one is above the law. |
