Just felt to share an experience
Last year I was moved to another department under a boss who never dealt with me before. It was our first encounter. Alhamdulelah I have this itch about making salat on time. the minute I hear the call I just can not wait Alhamdulelah Mash aAllah may Allah maintain His bounty. I just get really tense if I can not do it on time. He was setting some organization and told us will have a weekly meeting. On the first meeting, he observed a need of a colleague while scheduling the meeting, the man needed to join a rally for Palestine I think at that time. I came and asked him being so concerned for people's needs, pls while schduling avoid praying time. He said fine. Then the meeting started and prayer came on. I tried to execuse myslef, he said it will be only 10 mintues to finish and Iqamah is not even on. I becamse really tense but did not want to argue among other co workers, I respected him as boss specially that I am a woman and older than him age wise. After the meeting was over and I made my salat, I went and told him I would not like to be taken while salat is on because when Allah asks me I can not tell Him I had a meeting. Of course, he took a hostil position towards me, really hostile just trying to be brief. But Alhamdulelah I continuted to maintain good kind manner with him, even checked on his ill son, he could not believe I did. When he was removed from being my boss, I was the only one to go in and sooth his heart, now Alhamdulelah we maintain good relation and respect for each other. Sorry for a long post

Muslimah, this hadith with Jabriel was also related to me by those trying to validate prayer delaying. I also know of a hadith that when prayer comes in we are receiving Allah's Blessing and at the end of the prayer time we are recieving His Mercy. Why not strive for blessings?
This hadith about Jabriel is to show the Mercy of Allah, not to say it is fine to purposefully delay prayer. Allah Knows Best. We have to ask ourselves what the sunnah of the Prophet was. He prayed on time at the earliest times unless some mitigating circumstance kept him from it. No circumstances are involved here other than the desires of others. Why are the rules of Islam different for America than else where? This is not from the sunnah either. Muhammad did not have companions go to Yemen and tell them only the things about Islam that were easy on them. These are the rules period. America is not exempt. If we find it so hard to live here then we need to move to where we will not feel so burdened. It may be hard but the rewards are greater than we can imagine. Just because America says it is special does not make it so.
My sister I greatly appreciate your pursuit of this matter for me. May Allah reward all of those who strive in His beautiful cause. Yet due to the prophecies of Muhammad, I am very wary of knowledgable people nowadays. Why are fatwas given like the breathing of air? I know brothers who give their opinion on religious matters with barely a reflective thought. If the fatwa is incorrect then they are ACCOUNTALBE to Allah Most High. I never want to be in a position where I have that respocibility. Could some one find an example from the times before knowledge was lost that would support the delaying of prayer times?
Sister, I also relate to the eagerness of praying on time. I feel totally uneasy when I know it is time to pray yet I am being held from it.

If u go back to my first reply on this thread, u will find that I am with salat on time. Besides actually I was not totally aware of the reasons behind the suggestion. But if u ask me my own personal opinion and I an not even near a knowledgable person, I d like Allah to maintain His bounty on me and never deprive me of the possibility to make it just on time.
