being detached or speak arabic with an accent, or fail to teach their children Arabic or islamic teachings. That is when they become subject to criticism.

Peace Curious

Well I am not in the best positions to comment this, since I have made a contrary journey.

But what I can tell anyway is that many moroccans go to France and study, many also move to France, Belgium and Netherlands in first hand. And others who 'stay behind' do not seem to be bothered about that. They do not perhaps understand that there will also be sacrifices made with such a journey, but has difficult to see distinguish it or are not bothered with it (here I speak in first hand of the problems that may occur for a practising Muslim when living in a non-Muslim country). Instead many seems to look at this in a material way and they see their countrymen coming on their summer holiday in fancy cars and with money to spend.

So to conclude, I do not people here are very much concerned with what others do or where they go to live.

Quote:Thanks for all the replies..

My question, which looking back wasn't phrased very well, was this:

How do Muslims in Muslim countries view Muslims who immigrate to other countries...especially America?

Why don’t muslims instead of immigrating to US move to Mecca, Medina – Many resons; Climate/language/culture diffrence (not muslim culture but Arab one) / Job opportunities / Ease of Immigration citizenship

And so on and so on…………

Strange question, what are you eluding too?

<_<

Muslim Immigrants who move to USA are not viewed any differently. They are not held in higher esteem for their move or criticized /judged in any manner. . unless a person has personal issues againt the one who moved or the country moved too.

Not in quraan or sunah. :excl:

Each person has his/her own personal reasons for immigrating.

Does not mean the country you left/ birth – was not good enough you had to immigrate, again it is what a person wants out of life.

USA – is not the mecca of evil in any sort. :peace:
