yes u can also u must be between 18-25
1. A reliable PC
2. Broadband connection atleast 512k and above
3. A microphone or internet phone
4. Minimum of 10 hours a week to answer phone calls from home (schedule will be arranged)

Well im not good at advice thats why i quit answering the calls but most of the calls are about realationships obviously since its from uni students and many are female
I tried with a few of the calls but it seems i dont have the patience to listen to someone go on and on and on about why his girfriend dumped her etc etc ........but there are some really good advisors on duty who r really good who do help many people
By the way i took the quiz after i took a few calls and i failed..........
But on a plus side im sticking to the technical side of it to keep things running smoothly
There are also many calls from young muslim students which brings worry and concern as just the other day one of the advisors got a call from sum 1 who was thinking of commiting suicide .......in the same position me myself would have no idea how to help the guy id probably tell him to find the nearest stairs to the roof and jump off
Any way we still need loads more volunteers and we r in the process of acquiring a a small contract with an outsourcing call centre but we r still sorting out a way to make sure we r in charge of the recruitment process

Well I don't know how big your setup is, or how many people you have working on it, but have thought about contacting the Samaritans? They have lot of experience in that sort of field, and may be able to give some help/advice.

I don't think you'd be that bad :) but I know what you mean. Its one thing to listen to a mate, another thing entirely to listen to a strangers life story :unsure:

No worries bro money is definetely no issue at all ....Alhumduillah even if we do land the contract with the outsourcing call centre we will have no money problems (if ur willing to contribute to my own personal world Cup 2006 fund r want to sponsor me to go to Germany then im happy to take it :) )........the only problem we do have is man power !! alhumdulillah we have had many applicants but in this delicate role many had to be declined due to the fact of them not having enough basic islamic knowledge .....for this advice line to work for young muslims the advice given must be in accordance with shariah ..... otherwise we could have just diverted them to the NHS advice line

Thanks we already have contacted them and many current advisors have priour experience working for the samaritans.
They have given us lots of help with life issues drugs etc... and obviously this advice line is only giving advice with an islamic point of view where as the samaritans would recommend turning to jesus etc .....we recommend them turning to Allah

Suhail I dont think u cannt do it, however, assuming technical aspect is really important and in all cases you will still retain the reward for participatin.

Sister Muslimah its good to hear from you again , yeah my amaan keeps going down and then it jumps right up and after a while it goes so far down that you could only go up again.
so here i am again , I still need to improve my Nazaam and basic skills in Islam , looks like this is a life change for me.
i think i might have enought credit to go to Jannah after visiting the hell fire for all my sins on this planet.
Missing pray times i am well off to hell fire for that
yeah i do earn Halah money and do give it to the poor so that might get me to Jannah if all those poor people keep praying for me
so lets see sister how long can i say in touch this time around :)
