Question I received from a new member - Karbala - 03-08-2008

Thanks Muslimah, of course Julaybib is the classical anti-racism example we all know of. There are important lessons in his story for us.

I have special sympathy for muslims of african origin. I am afraid to say that the rest of the muslim world tends to treat them as inferior. I am no exception to this rule. All this when if any race deserves to boast of having first served Islam then it would be the Africans who first gave sanctuary to the early muslims who migrated at the time of the Prophet's meccan period headed by Ja'afar ibn Abi Talib to Abyssinia.

Bismillah

as salam alykom karbala

I fully agree with, me myself I have a soft corner for dark skinned Muslims, matter of fact, I find them different in all aspects, I dealt closely with them, Mash a Allah, they are more kind, soft hearted, polite. Well, even here in Upper Egypt which is closer to teh South part of Africa people are different. If only people know them closely.
