<b>SisterJennifer wrote: Muhammad peace be upon him didnt state anything in the Quran. Quran is statement from the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad...</b>

So, then, you believe it is God (in verse 4:24 of the koran) who is telling muslim males it is OK to take other men's wives as slaves and rape them?

This topic has been discussed more than once with you. You could use some new material.

reepi, stop jumping from one topic to another, and please let us take this issue step by step if you are seriously looking for explanations or answers. First pls answer my question. Where in the origianl post did I say that Mohammad blessing and peace be upon him will come in his glory. If you try to maintain the main theme, this can be really very useful for you and others.

We seem to be in agreement that it will be God and not Mohammad who will judge people. Correct? Therefore, we should spend our time trying to please God and not Mohammad.

Or, do you continue to claim that "belief in Mohammad" is necessary for a person to get to heaven?

As I've already stated, many of the beliefs taught by Mohammad are offensive to me, and I therefore refuse to believe that he was a prophet sent by God.

Basically I got nothing from your original post, other than that muslims think Mohammad was a wonderful person.

Have you ever considered the possibility that muslims would be better off if, instead of wasting time praising Mohammad, they instead spent that time praising God?

Let me clarify this Reep…

Of course we do consider Muhammad pbuh <b>to be the greatest human being that ever lived on earth</b>, and actually it is not only <i>us</i> who believe that, but Non Muslims also… if you read for example the book titles “the 100 most ifluential men in the history of mankind” by <b>Micheal Hart</b> (a Christian) you will see that he places our beloved prophet pbuh <b>on the top of his list as the greatest of all</b>, and his Lord and master Jesus Christ was placed as <i>no 3 </i>on the list.

He said:

Quote:"MY CHOICE OF MUHAMMAD TO LEAD THE LIST OF THE WORLD'S MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS MAY SURPRISE SOME READERS AND MAY BE QUESTIONED BY OTHERS, BUT HE WAS THE ONLY MAN IN HISTORY WHO WAS SUPREMELY SUCCESSFUL ON BOTH THE RELIGIOUS AND SECULAR LEVEL.

<b>" Michael H. Hart "The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History", New York: Hart Publishing Company, Inc., 1978, p.33. </b>

Actually this is an endless topic if we just keep on quoting Non Muslims opinions about the greatest man that ever live, Muhammad pbuh.

Anyways, we do not praise him pbuh instead of God as you have claimed, we are only following his teachings because those teachings are from God, in the same manner if you read your own Bible where Jesus says:

"<b>If God were your Father, you would have loved me, because I came from God and am here. I have not come on my own accord, but he sent me.</b> John 8:42

In other words, if you really believe in God you would love me and follow me, it doesn’t mean by loving Jesus that we are praising him instead of God Himself… for Muslims, we love each and every prophet sent by God, but we don’t consider any of them to be higher in authority as the Christians do in the case of Jesus pbuh.

Quote:As I've already stated, many of the beliefs taught by Mohammad are offensive to me, and I therefore refuse to believe that he was a prophet sent by God.

I don’t think that you have rejected Muhammad pbuh because you simply found some of his teachings to be offensive, I guess you were trained to reject him and that you are not even INTERESTED to know anything about him, you just want to draw our attention that his teachings were offensive to you personally.

But anyway, you have the right to either ask for clarifications about those teachings or to reject them all together, like how I did in the case of the Bible, I don’t consider it to be God’s word because to me it is the most offensive book on the face of the earth, and if you want me to show you some examples then i may start a new thread insh a Allah.

Salam

Wael.
